Edge going to AEW really doesn’t do anything for me. I’ve never been his biggest fan per se and I think his best overall program was 17 years ago with Mick Foley. But hey, Tony has a new toy to play with lol.

Also, that stair spot Darby Allin took was f***ing insane. I legit wince every time he takes ridiculous bumps. He’s on Dynamite Kid’s trajectory and might up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

I still like Edge and all. But I'll admit I zoned out of everything he has done in WWE post Rumble return. It was just boring to bad.

Judgement Day had potential as I thought he was taking the Ric Flair Evolution role or mainly just be used as the mouthpiece. So maybe it was for the best he was scrapped from that group.

I understand why AEW would want him. But using him more than WWE was at this point would be a mistake. I'll be shocked if he doesn't win their world championship...which is just a hard pass

I’m the opposite I’ll be shocked if he does win the world title. I don’t think the world title is in the future for edge. I think he’s going to have some feuds with some single feuds, tag team run with Christian and potentially a retirement match against Christian.

Didn't they change it to: you think you know him ? But yes it is her voice. Supposedly her and Adam worked on it together

I was thinking about it more and he might be the perfect Punk replacement. I don’t think he has quite the name brand as Adam Copeland but he’s not gonna bring baggage. Seems like he wants to coach and work a lot.

He’s even tight with FTR like punk was lol

Ah yes because people didn't want to deal with Phil Brooks nobody in AEW wants to be coached
Well, some guys, notably Adam Page, said they do need feel like they need help from veterans, so the concern seems valid. That being said, Edge won't create conflict. He'll just let those who do not want his help alone.

Didn't they famously hold a backstage bitch session about Jim Ross criticizing their work, that became notable enough that Darby had to take to Twitter to call out his peers for it?

Would love to see Adam Page tell Edge he doesn't need his advice, BTW.

Right but who gives a f*** whether he does or doesn’t want and or need his help? I am sure he has people that have helped him along the way. You don’t need to take advice from literally every veteran that walks around. If someone wants to go do it on their own and make their own mistakes they are more than able to do that. The people that want help will find it. Bitching about younger wrestlers not wanting your mentorship just makes you sound like a cranky boomer.

Right I am sure there are some guys that maybe already have their own mentors or just want to find their own way. Who cares. You don’t have to take on mentorship. There are probably far more people who openly seek it out….but being the cranky f*** who runs around telling every younger wrestler what they are doing wrong and then acting shocked when said younger wrestler doesn’t want to hear it is peak old man shit. If your perspective is valuable people will seek you out.

Saying you don't take advice from guys who are 10 times the star you are makes you sound like an arrogant dipshit, too.

Especially when you do dumb shit on the regular... Page isn't nearly as bad as some in AEW, in this regard though. Like a pre-show talent that wont listen to anybody when they tell him he's a dumb f*** for wanting to do a real glass spot.

Again…who cares? Like why does it make you arrogant? I am almost positive there are stories of Punk shitting on the old hand trying to tell him the way it’s done when he was in WWE. He became the old hand and threw a temper tantrum when every young talent didn’t lick his boot. I will say it again, if your insight is valuable you won’t need to yell at people to listen to you.

Do we need to go over it for the 10th time about how Jungle Boy was told no by multiple people not named Punk about the glass spot before Punk confronted him on it?

The evidence of AEW talent needing guidance is pretty damning considering in the last 6 months alone we've had two top stars dropped right on their head and lucky they're not paralyzed, and another shatter his leg on a reckless spot.

I'm sure Edge doesn't have much insight on the stupidity of doing spots that risk a broken neck, though. Goldberg could probably give Jungle Boy some insight on the stupidity of working with real glass, too... Not that he'd listen.

Why does that make you arrogant? Really? Publicly saying you do not need or seek advice from the vets. Not listening to them at all when they approach you. Going behind people's back to complain to your "journalist" friend.

Try to do that in your job with more experienced coworkers and see what happens

CM Punk is an entitled prick who thinks his shit doesn't stink, but he had nothing to do with this discussion. Edge likely won't have the same problems because I doubt he will approach people who do thing he perceives as dumb the same way. He seems like a cool dude who just want to have fun.

Jungle Boy was approved to do the spot by AEW management. Punk stepped in and said no on his own. Which like probably was the right call but JB wasn’t going rogue with the spot lol I’m also not sure what your point even is on Edge? I never said he didn’t have insight? There are a ton of vets in AEW and just because a handful of wrestlers pushed back on noted asshole Phil Brooks doesn’t mean every young wrestler in AEW hates old hands lol it’s a ridiculous premise.

I guess we're just going in circles now? These idiots not being able to take criticism or advice was noted before Punk even signed with the company lol.

Also, it was pretty widely reported that Jungle Boy was advised not to do that before Punk talked to him. The name I recall coming up was Schiavonne.

Punk absolutely has something to do with this discussion as he is the main one that brings up all this AEW young wrestlers don’t take help. I also have been the young guy on job sites. The cranky old f*** that just yelled I pretty much instantly ignored. The one that talked to me like an actual human being became one of my best friends. Just because Punk is “10 times the star” doesn’t mean people are going to want to put up with an ass hole lol and just because you didn’t want to deal with Phil doesn’t mean you don’t have your own already established mentorship group….and if you want to do it on your own I don’t exactly see how that hurts anyone? Hangman is doing pretty well for himself lol

He sure as shit ain't letting Rey Fenix give him a piledriver though.
