Not everyone wants to watch a gymnastics routine where the young bucks no-sell in the ring and build matches with little psychology in them. Some people like it when their wrestling matches look like a wrestling match.

People who think Jay White has been "held back" by either bad booking or BCG are honestly ridiculous. First of all he has been one of the most protected wrestlers in the entire company since joining and I am not sure how many times it needs to happen but like legit no wrestler gets hot shot into a title program after joining AEW. I really don't know why people thought it would happen with Jay lol. Add to that, Bullet Club Gold is f***ing great, the time has allowed him to actually fully introduce himself to the American audience and not just be "that guy that was great in Japan, trust me bro".

I would have to watch it again to confirm the devil did not get physical but interesting theory.

Yeah, this is generally where I fall on them as well, you can also throw Orange Cassidy in that boat for me too

Orange Cassidy at least has a lot of momentum swings in his matches. He sells his opponents moves and builds up drama.

For instance, the Cage/Castignioli/Jackson match was the low point last night. Cage tosses Jackson out of the ring then he and Castignioli trade power moves to show who is tougher. After about 2 minutes of that Jackson came back in and dominated until commercial break doing flippy dippy shit on guys that were just shrugging off power bombs, clotheslined and European uppercuts. Then anytime later in the match whenever Jackson was attacked he was back up, rolling and jumping around as if he wasn’t impacted by the previous attacks against him. It takes me right out of the match.

I watched the show and made it thru the Cage/Claudio/Nick match but tapped out shortly into the 4 way when Matt and OC did a somersault or whatever and OC kips up. I don't disagree that OC sells and gets put thru the ringer in pretty much every match, I just can't get past the silly gimmick and a guy his size competing with much larger guys who put him through countless pieces of furniture yet has a win-loss record that would make prime Super-Cena blush

It's fine that people like or love the Bucks or OC, they just aren't for me and more often than not lead to me looking for a baseball game, or soon a hockey game to watch for at least a few minutes

Its a good theory, however there was 5 attackers (4 + Devil) if my not mistaken. So it could be Cole, Taven, Bennet, Roddy and... Kyle ORielly?

Fun angle, wonder if this was always in the works or if it was part of the pivot around Coles injury

I guess my criticism would be... We all know it's probably not MJF because we've watched wrestling (And television stories in general really) for years... But the mask is supposed to make you think "Is it MJF", if this were, say, your first ever exposure to a story like this.

... So why the f*** did they put the mask on a guy who apparently has the body of a 12 year old boy when MJF is jacked out of his mind lol.

Edge (or soon to be Adam Copeland)) in AEW would be sweet. With that said, I hope the eventual reuniting with Christian is taken slowly. Christian is doing some incredible things and has been killing it as TNT champ.
