I said months ago that MJF was too over and needed a face turn but had no idea how to do it. Well, kudos to MJF and TK ... they've done it and it's been masterful

f*** yes to Swerve and Hangman feud.
Hell yes. This is going to be good. I hope Swerve FINALLY gets a little rub.... he's WWWAAAYYY overdue

love hangman but can they please finally put swerve over.. having him lose to darby was criminal... darby is okay but i mean come on swerve is on another level.
Most of Swerve's losses have been criminal. He amd Jay Lethal have been done dirty for way to long

Jealous Roddy is so f***ing hilarious holy shit.

Everything from the look into his awful life as he shares perfectly normal family photos, The Kingdom sitting on each side of him with a hand on each shoulder, the neck brace coming on and off after the match, his match photos making him look like white Steve Urkel after a night of drinking.

Like look at this shit hahahaha

Yeah I’ve done a 180 on it, it’s great.

Did Aussie Open really need to do the job if they’re doing this Jericho/Sammy miscommunication stuff?

I think that’s the one storyline that doesn’t make much sense right now.

I thought that Darby talking Sammy into ditching JAS back during the 4 pillars thing made more sense, but the way they made that story evolve into…this thing…is poorly done.

Collision lost about 100k viewers when Tony announced Punk’s firing, that makes sense seeing as how it was a show centered around him. Alvarez trying to blame college football without mentioning that tidbit was pretty funny. The overall number wasn’t that bad given Payback though.

Hopefully they load up Saturdays with as much talent as possible and they avoid turning it into rampage 2.0- excited to see what they do with it. They’re going to need to make them compelling otherwise it’s going to be a low number given the sports competition on Saturdays.

I hope Collision becomes the Bryan Danielson show.

Wait so you discredit the NCAA football part but then follow up with "not bad given Payback" I can't keep up with the twisting of trying to shit on AEW with new reasoning anymore

It's only bc of Punk and WWE they lost 100k viewers..sigh

The 90+ thousand viewer loss literally happened immediately following the Khan announcement, if you can’t process what that means that’s a “you” problem. 90k+ people didn’t turn the show on, watch TK make his announcement, and then go OH YEAH I FORGOT COASTAL CAROLINA-UCLA IS ON.

The overall number for the night was solid given the competition in sports/entertainment. It’s just about 100k less than what it would have been had so many people not changed the channel following Khan’s announcement. Not that hard to comprehend! It’s not even shitting on them! You don’t need to take it so personally! ….sigh

I hope Collision becomes the Bryan Danielson show.
That is 100% my hope and dream

I mean, it is pretty easy to contextualize.

The overall number was low because of quality of competition that night - NCAA football + WWE PPV.

The 100K drop after the announcement, was due to the announcement.

Now, that being said, we have to ask ourselves this:

- Did MORE people than would have otherwise did watched to see if the situation would be addressed and left after it was?
OR
- Did people left the show BECAUSE Punk was fired?

That one is impossible to answer, honestly and won't be because NCCA football will run in opposition for the next 4 months. By that point, Punk will be irrelevant to Collision ratings. I guess the influence of his departure will be seen in viewing patterns throughout the show.

My personal hope is that they keep the silliness on Dynamite and keep using Collision as a more "traditional" wrestling show. Both can be fun, but having different shows with different vibes was cool.

The bolded is the real question. We’ll likely see the rating go on a rollercoaster ride during football season depending on what the prime time matchups are but by next summer it will be interesting to compare ratings from year 1 and year 2 of collision to see what kind of impact was truly made

fantasy booking: Sign Edge to 2yr deal. Wembley 2024 Edge Vs Sting Career vs Career dream match.
Edge goes over.
2025 Edge Vs Christian final match for Edge

Final match for both.

They retire together as best friends. That would be a crazy moment.
Would be incredible

Would love for edge to be in total control of his own creative too, him and Christian would produce gold

Collision last week also had to compete with a WWE PPV, right?

Also real fans shouldn't be upset about Punk's firing. It's not OK to assault your coworkers or bully them anywhere else. Why should it be OK backstage, off-screen in a wrestling promotion?
