You honestly think the only people in AEW that talk to the dirtsheets are the Bucks? I mean come on lol
No, but we know that they are "close" to Meltzer. So is Jericho.

It is highly unlikely that we will get Punk's side through the dirtsheets. Well, we do not really need it though, he already said what he had to say at the presser and he should not have.

Punk is a direct guy, to both his credit and detriment.

This isn't the first time I've heard the Bucks are two-faced dipshits that try to go after people behind their backs.

Unfortunately, Punk is the one who came out and did the public thing, so he's going to take the majority of the heat, whether he's right or not. Khan also knows he's the major draw right now, both in terms of ratings and gates.

I'm very curious to see how this plays out.

It's one thing if it's a job guy or some disgruntled upper midcarder leaking.

These guys are supposed to be Executives in the company and they are being rats.
They are leaking stuff that is hurting the company to some degree. Tony should be livid at that

That should be the biggest thing, but if Punk was a hot head and threw the first punch, all of thw sudden it becomes about him assaulting his bosses and that's rightfully the biggest issue. It's bad.

I mean to be fair I don't think there is really a side of his story that could justify punching a coworker in the face or a steel chair being thrown in someones face. There doesn't always have to be two sides. If that happened f*** what Punks side of the story is it doesn't make a difference.

All depends what was saide, how everyone behaved, etc.

Maybe you throw the first punch because you feel threatened. I do not know.

We will likely never know.

That being said, both sides are clearly assholes IMHO. Punk might be the bigger one, but the Bucks and Kenny are not clean.

We'll probably never know Punk's side because he won't want to give that to the media and probably not anyone else who would have his back because they think the same way. If there are, it's very few. The only guy who would probably do so at least for the sake of having both sides out there unabated is Jericho and we know he wasn't there.

I mean, we kinda already know Punk's side. We've heard it from his mouth. His words.
and there was truth in what he said.

That being said, If he threw the first punch or chair or whatever at executives in the company, it's gotta be over.

Not unless there is some miracle where tony, punk, kenny, bucks get in a room and have a come to jesus family meeting and settle it. Given what we know about CM Punk, I doubt he would be amenable to that he probably thinks he's done nothing wrong here (and maybe he hasn't if he didn't escalate the confrontation?)

I think this HAS to happen. Tony needs to show his leadership. Heck, he should have showed it when Punk went off, but just sat there. He did try to bring it back once, but Punk shut him up.

As far as I’m concerned the second they walked into that room pissed off with a numbers advantage they became liable to being punched. That in itself is threatening.

Danhausen has a pure soul and gave CM Punk his boots. I am team punk.

If, and it's a big if, Punk walks or is fired I have to imagine that's the last we see of him in wrestling.

Yeah, that'd be it. I suspect if things cool down Tony might try and bring him back, but Punk would be too petulant to do it. WWE won't want anything to do with him. I don't think anyone there has a vendetta out for him, but they don't see him as worth the headache. Few are.

That’s a bit absurd of a take. If they walked up to him outside of work sure I can see that line of thinking but they went to his locker room during work and a work environment. Did he really think he was going to be jumped and had to punch them?

Something definitely went down. SRS, Keller (who some claim is the closest insider to Khan) and Meltzer are all hinting at it.

My guess is;

Punk suspended, stripped of the title

Ace Steel shot out of the nearest cannon .

The entirety of the elite sans Adam Page suspended for a month so Tony can send a message that no one is above the law type of shit.

Punk then goes full nuclear and walks from AEW and likely professional wrestling as a whole for the final time.

Jericho and Edge have a great story about Punk giving them shit and calling them unprofessional for watching the Gold Medal hockey game before a house show match (a match in which Punk started a tag match and refused to tag in Jericho because of it). Just utter petulance. As they laugh about, a few years later Punk is tweeting the Chicago run to the finals during a PPV.

I would also be more sympathetic to this if it wasn't for the fact Punk very publicly blasted them moments for and outright called for anyone who had a problem with him to come say it to his face. Like how did you expect that to go? No shit they flew off the handle.

My hang up in all of this, and why I tend to lean that Punk is the bigger asshole in this sea of assholes is how stupidly sensitive he got over Page's promo.

Like folks have said way way worse to him on a live mic. Kingston, Mox, MJF, you name it.

Also the comment about Page not listening to vets was much ado about nothing too. He got asked if he would get advice from Punk and Sting, and all he said was if he felt he needed to he would but his preference was to learn through trial and error.

Punk didn't like that because how dare someone not want his advice?
