I figured they brought in veterans like Mark Henry and such to prevent this backstage drama.Where is the leadership?

Hell baby
Apparently Ace Steel’s wife was in the room with a broken foot and couldn’t get out, probably why Ace was acting like a savage maniac (well that and the fact he’s a savage maniac)

Not really feeling this new MJF faction. Dont think it will put over anyone other than morrisey. Gunns are meh without the Acclaimed. Other dude whos name I forgot needs a single run. Moriaty is also meh.

Dave is also the YB's bitch. So whatever he says is coming straight out of their camp.
Almost everything comes out of their camp. Punk don’t really talk to the wrestling media, you saw the other night he didn’t know who anyone was besides Dave and Bryan Alvarez. He’s done some other media that was set up for him but Colt was the only person he trusted.

If Punk got hurt from this and he instigated it, I'd fire him with cause. (or I guess you'd have to wait until he's healthy? idk how chain of causation would work there because he wouldn't have gotten hurt if he wouldn't have started a fight, and I would imagine psychically fighting with technically his bosses is enough to fire with cause)

What a disaster if true.

Might not be able to even get the MJF match out of it. I'd be livid.

and this bozo has the temerity to talk about how Page "jeopardized a million dollar gate" but now has just jeopardized the whole company because he was acting like a tough guy.

Fightful updates said they confirmed Ace did bite Kenny, Punch did throw punches, and Nick Jackson got hit in the eye. Some think Punk is at fault for starting it, others The Elite.

Almost no one thinks Punk was in the right for his media appearance though, including some who side with him.

Couldn't confirm if Punk got hurt or not.

Punk should clearly not have made the comments he has made.

The Elite going after him in his locker room just after was incredibly dumb. Let things cool down and address them later.

I will repeat myself one more time: there is no babyface in this story. Just a bunch of idiots. When Chris Jericho appears to be the voice of reason, you have a problem.

Obviously none of us know because we're not backstage etc

BUT from what I've read/listened to over the years, it always seems like Punk *thinks* he's the alpha locker room leader and tries to assume that role that nobody asked him to be.
It likely rubs people the wrong way and cause people to be dismissive of him. That fires him up. He thinks he's Harley Race and it's the territories.

There is no shortage of high end respected vets in the AEW lockerroom with Jericho, Henry, Christian, Danielson, Regal etc etc but they mostly seem like reasonable men who are passive leaders that lead by example and are not overly rah-rah guys one way or the other (Jericho sounds like he tries rah-rah speeches when needed, but there is only so much he and the other vets can do if the EVPs are undermining them by causing trouble and being rats to dirtsheets)

To Punk's point: the vets in the lockerroom try to lead by example and show a certain way, BUT seemingly some young guys dont want to be led. According to Punk and other coaches, they say that they know better and are above it and they have it all figured out. Punk is right when he says EVPs need to stop being rats. He is dead wrong airing this dirty laundry publicly and if he started a fight.

IDK it's just a mess.

Idk, I seem to recall Punk saying if someone had a problem with him, to come tell him personally.

He acted like a major tool at the presser and the Elite being EVPs probably didn't like it for obvious reasons and then it blew up.

As long as Kenny and co didn't throw the first punch they're not in the wrong here as far as I'm concerned.

Someone in here said bucks dont draw for AEW. Ill say Sting dont draw. 2022 no one wanna see 60 year old out of shape sting do slow motion splashes.
i enjoy stings appearences tbh.. they don't over do it and he looks good in his short appearences for most part.

Sting definitely isn't a draw anymore but he's not hurting anyone either.

AEW's usage of him is how you should be using older stars.
I disagree completely. He has been taking away from Darby for the last year. He served his purpose to Darby, but they should have split long ago.
