Honestly, I think the money would've been in sitting him for a few months and saying nothing, building to a Wardlow/Punk title shot, and then MJF returns and beats the piss out of both of them during the match. Wardlow's pissed for getting screwed and Punk gets to play the Cena babyface role and be pissed because MJF ruined the match and screwed Wardlow out of a chance.

Then you can work your way to a three way with Wardlow powerboming the shit out of Punk and MJF stealing the pin for the belt.

Keeps Wardlow hot, which I think is gonna be a real issue away from MJF.
