Who ya got for the jokers tonight?

I'm gonna guess Brian Cage. He started a stable with Tully at Supercard of Honor after being off TV for like a year and hasn't done anything since. (There hasn't been any ROH shows since that I know of.)

Save him, I feel like is either gonna be someone from NJPW or just some slappy with past ties to Lethal/Dutt from ROH or TNA since that's a feud right now.

I can't see Britt losing, so maybe it's just some random legend? Tegan Nox? Maybe Dakota Kai? I don't think NXT releases have non-competes.

Hopefully just a one night deal.
He's not gonna add anything to AEW that they don't already have in spades

EDIT: Joe/Morrison have no chemistry it seems. very sloppy match not a good debut for Morrison (if it even was a debut and not just a one off)

I wonder if CM Punk got the OK from AEW higher ups to wear that shirt? No matter how you feel about the subject it's got to put AEW and it's wrestlers in an awkward position of answering questions they'd rather not be asked or made to pick a side on something they'd rather not address.

I loved it. Bold statement indeed, but it’s so easy for others to duck it if they want. It’s not like they all have to do round table media scrums after the show tonight either

What was he wearing?

Edit: nevermind, maybe I should have taken the 2 seconds to look it up before asking.

they really need to stop giving Regal a microphone. He rambles too much and just takes time away. IDK what happened to him that he has seemingly forgotten to cut an efficient and effective promo cause he used to be money. Hopefully he finds that grove again but until then let him sit in silence until it's time for him to say BLOOD AND GUTS or YOUMANGA.

Can't say enough about KOR/Fenix and Hangman/Takeshita. Great matches. Also was a big fan of the Swerve/Christian/Starks promo that's how you do something that gets a point across and doesn't drag on forever.

Yeah, it was a very meh segment.

I thought Jericho’s promo was great, and while Regal’s was poor the infighting at the end was good.

For me, the Deeb/Rosa promos have been a real low point the last few shows

Deeb can go in the ring, but she looks bad and she sounds bad. Not really getting the angle of her calling out Tony or Rhodes.

Thought the NXT folks had a 30 day non-compete and Kai/Evie would be available right after Double or Nothing.

Just fast forwarded through the show, maybe it was just me but I first thought it was Gargano when the screen flashed "Johnny Elite."

Thought I saw something on Twitter about Tony Khan saying both jokers would be debuting, but maybe somebody misconstrued something that was said. But as a result I was a little underwhelmed by Maki Itoh being the joker.

Seemed an odd use of the joker for the tournament.

Eddie Kingston makes everything great.

I agree about Deeb too. She’s a solid worker and I would trust her to work anybody, but the look is weak and she’s not a good enough promo.

I think Deeb can be champion if you simplify her. Less promos. Savage brutalizer competitor who refuses to speak much.

BREAKING NEWS - Bryan Danielson was injured during this week's Rampage taping.

from wrestlinginc.com:

Bryan Danielson suffered an injury during the tapings for Friday’s AEW Rampage.

After Danielson and Jon Moxley wrestled Matt Sydal and Dante Martin in a tag team bout, there was a post-match angle involving Jericho Appreciation Society (JAS).

Danielson was apparently injured during the Blackpool Combat Club’s brawl with JAS. At one point during the brawl, Danielson’s leg got caught in between the ring and the elevated rampway. According to fans at the arena, Danielson was stuck for several minutes until AEW medical personnel ran out to assist him.

As seen below, a part of the ramp had to be taken out to get Danielson’s leg out. One fan at the arena noted that it looked like Danielson’s calf/shin was trapped between the ring and the rampway.

As seen in another video below, Danielson eventually walked away on his own power but had a noticeable limp. He also gave a thumbs up to Eddie Kingston before heading to the back.

AEW taped Friday’s episode of Rampage immediately after the live episode of Dynamite at Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas.

We noted before how AEW teased the big 5 vs 5 match for Double or Nothing on Dynamite, as JAS’ Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Angelo Parker & Matt Menard confronted BCC’s Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, and William Regal, as well as Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz.

Stay tuned for updates on this breaking story. AEW has yet to comment on the injury.
