I wonder if Krejci could be used similarly?

One thing I always forget (but remembered for this post) is that LV will need to get to the cap floor.

Obviously, we won't know how easy or difficult this will be without knowing who is exposed throughout the league, but it seems tough to do without a few guys making 6-7 million or so.

I'm assuming that LV can trade players they select?

Maybe after they draft their team, they make a deal with Boston for DK?

(Assuming he agrees to move)

Who could LV take that would be worth giving up Krejci for, even if it means getting rid of the albatross that is Belesky's contract? And why would Krejci agree to go to LV?

No idea.

Just speculation, like most of the trade ideas on here.

I don't know who will be available to LV in the waiver draft.

I'm just surmising that there probably won't be a ton of legitimate top 6 type players available to them. Plus they do need to reach the cap floor and want to have quality NHL'ers on their roster.

Maybe DK likes Vegas or wants a fresh start and would agree to go?

Maybe the B's take a hit on this one, freeing up money to make a bigger deal.

Tavares is UFA after next year. Hall the year after that, I think.

Yes, because the Islanders would accept that deal. You do realize trading Rask for anyone means you're done for a while....So Tavares would be useless here b/c they'd have no goaltending.

Ahh.. acquiring Tavares, the dream is a sweet one. Only a dream though.

The year he missed the entire season i asked some friends if they would trade Lucic and Krejci for him, injury and all, they laughed it off but man, i think i would have done it.

Really like Tavares.

The D was fine without McQuaid and we're getting Carlo and Krug back.

With all due respect, if there's one thing the Bruins are lacking bigtime, it's players who can play the physical game. Quaider, Chara and Kevan Miller can all play that game..But next season, Chara is another year older and without Mcquaid, that leaves only Miller who can protect the younger guys and our stars. In saying that, I do realize he's injury prone but that's because he blocks a lot of shots along with the rough stuff.

Personally, I think they should keep him at least til his contract runs out. which I think is 2 more seasons.

Haven't read chatter in this group...but is everyone saying to dangle Spooner for expansion draft so we could potentially keep McQuaid / Chiller? Worth the gamble IMO

There's teams out there that are much better off in their own end than Bruins. That's why we have no worries of losing a defenceman like Quaider...I love his physical play but at 4 million per season and being injury prone, there's no way Vegas takes him..
