Now now, they're quite easy to make when you're a GM on the receiving end of a 2nd rounder for Zac Rinaldo.
When did that happen?

I disagree when the only consistent NHL player in the deal has an albatross
Fact of the matter is a lot of people would have been unhappy no matter what they do. Two weeks ago they were a trash bottom feeder with no hope, now they should surrender assets for rentals. I just don't get it
I've been here long enough to know that's an undeniable fact
Again, where is this coming from? I've been really active here and:
1. No one wanted Burrows.
2. No one wanted rentals.
But people are vocal here saying people do. Maybe I missed some posts that are in the vast vast minority but the majority here have been in agreement for weeks and months:
The Boston Bruins should move assets to acquire players for now and the future to fix the holes in the current core while they are still in their prime.
No rentals.
No Burrows.

Bang. This is it.
But most importantly, the GM should be actively trying to do this. It's his job.

Bjork.
What player fits that's description that's moved the past few days?
I think a couple deals will get made because that's how it feels to me with my understanding of how this works
My hope that it will be a deal that works... goes down now. I haven't seen a deal yet that I wish we were in on.
I kept thinking Justin faulk would get moved... but no rumors about him heated up
I kept thinking something smaller with Colorado would happen... that's where I'm at now
I see a Jerome iginla or Blake comeau deal happening to get us a vet re upgrade for the 3rd line
I can still see beauchimen too... but only if belesky can be moved

The core is transitioning. In 11 Chara, sieds, rex were the vets backing the youth of marchand, segiun and even bergy and dk to an extent. The bruins need to build with bergy dk and backes being the vets with kids such as pasta Spooner Carlo and hopefully McAvoy. Chia didn't exactly set them up for this transition and Sweeney needed to build the system and retool on the fly. Rushing the final steps so they can make a deal at the deadline, deplete the prosect pool and force a trade is foolish. Sweeney has made it very clear of a deal can be made that will help the team long term he will do it, who is to say that deal exists right now?
Player deals happen around the draft more so than the deadline.

Who said has? Who said it will?
If it isn't there, stand pat. But if a trade unfolds that meets this criteria and the Bruins passed on it we get to discuss.
Most will be just fine watching this pass and the Bruins add nothing if only rentals are moved around. But anyone watching the Colorado game just saw a pissed off Landeskog drop the gloves after single-handedly winning a game over the weekend and showing he is a great NHL player.
Duchene looks like he is daring Sakic to move him.
If either are moved then we can discuss the merits or failures of not obtaining them. For now, nothing that has been moved seems to address either hole in Boston.
But how many years can we point to the hole and DNQ?
Teams that DNQ tend to be more than one player short IMO, and to be honest it's looking more and more like the old coach may have been a bigger reason to us having DNQ's and 4 game 7 losses at home. Save for this season.
forward depth I would love to see Doan, but we are not contenders,, so he is not coming.
-
I would love to see Solderberg back as a depth player instead of bum Hayes.
We really need a good top-4 2-way d-man, like Siedenberg
Sweeney is not adding nothing.Mark it down.Bruins will make playoffs or miss with team they have I am ok with that .Next year should see at least 3 or 4 kids push for spots
