All I know is that Dreger and Mckenzie are still the best in reporting trades. Friedman and Lebrun are always a step behind.

Best case scenario, Hamhuis would be a decent upgrade?

Or a really good upgrade?

Even best case scenario, what round does Hamhuis make us more likely to get by than we would right now? I think our most realistic hope is an ECF appearance. If a guy can't help you get past where you can go now, what's the point?

I don't know. Can he skate his off side?

If not, I'm not seeing the upgrade.

I think if we have a good defense, we can beat anyone. We've won a lot of games with **** back there. Obviously not everyone agrees with that, but I want to see how good we can be with a real blue line.

I also think Vrbata will end up being a bargain for someone. Not worth a top 2 pick though.

The way this shaping up:

Loui stays a Bruin past the deadline unsigned.

Boston cough's up valuable young assets to rent Russell or Hamhuis.

Morrow is bumped back to the press box.

The right side of the D is still a complete disaster.

Bruins only slightly better but still a very flawed team.

Eriksson and Hamhuis/Russell walk away on July 1.

Instead of being up a 1st rounder and a good young player, they are down those two assets and whatever picks/prospects they use to rent Hamhuis/Russell.

Talk about spinning your tires.

Mr. Brightside, ladies and gentlemen

Word around league B's "still going to be very active" before its said & done. Vrbata & Hamhuis from Vancouver perhaps? 2 roster spots open

Stupid is as Stupid does. Vrabata is only -32 this season

Important to double down on really old players like this, because they hold up so well to the grind of the extra 20+ games you need to play to have a chance at the cup.

Agreed! Notice how Nick Kyperos who is the star "insider" of sportsnet hockey coverage never breaks anything. Still annoyed that sportsnet got the NHL contract in Canada, TSN's hockey coverage, analysts and insiders kill the sportsnet crew.

The names the Bruins are rumored to be in on make me sick. Hamhuis, Russell, Vrbata. Yuck. I'd like some good rumors please

After reading Vesey's players Tribune piece I am almost 99% certain hes going to sign with Boston. Absolutely.

Really, think the leafs have the inside track. Have drafted his younger brother and hired his dad as a team scout. Austin Matthews, Steve Stamkos, Mitch Marner and Vesey will turn their rebuild around quickly.

Oilers will take Matthews and they will finish bottom (i think so anyway)

Hes a proud Boston kid, who loves his city and love the Bruins (always dreamed of being drafted by Boston but Chia ****ed that up) and I would be surprised if he doesn't sign here.
