The tone in a lot of your posts indicate something tangible is making the rounds on this Landeskog thing - can someone catch me up? Where is the reputable source indicating this is a potential, even remotely?

Dom, Reed or Kirk take your pick.
Followed by Dater.

;)

Avs let it be known GL available. Teams making offers. Bs one of them.
Avs want young good D. Asked for Carlo + .

SHAZZAMMMM, You dont sell 'rebuild" to a big time hockey market with a Stanley Cup winning core of world class players that are in their primes. Chicago and LA rebuilt on the Fly and won cups around certain guys. As has Pittsburgh now albeit six years apart. This is what we need to do. We are not that far away and have the resources to do it. This GM has rid the team of a couple high priced players and getting the cap under control. He has built the farm system back strong after those deals and has hit some home runs with McAVOY and CARLO and probably one or two others.

Having said that it is time to add elite NHL talent with all the chips you have accumulated. This team is a number 1-2 Dman and a 25-30 goal gritty winger who can skate. This is not a tear it down rebuild. This GM needs to fill two holes. It can be done.

Get this done Sweeney and those 12 dollar beers will taste a lot better going down.

Exactly!

Hell, if he got Trouba and/or Landeskog those 12 beers are suddenly going down more often because some of those asleep fans are spilling them giving cheers to other fans as the Bruins score and win some home games. Spills equals refills.

I may be in the minority here but I think there is a lot more to Lauzon than what people think. His value may be higher to other people outside of the Bruins organization than we think.

It may be one of the rare instances when a team fanbase on HF has one opinion and outsiders may have one slightly higher.

Yes and I talked to Dom this morning and asked what he thought

The Horton and Backes type of leadership game skills are appropriate to me

We will see what happens but Carlo Senyshyn JFK and C-Mac aren't in this

The bolded - especially re Carlo and McAvoy - for me is the premise for going ahead with this. I wonder if Colorado would find any other of our D prospects (Lauzon, Zboril?) enticing enough.

Mr. Make-Believe

The happy genius of my household
He is a 25 goal scorer, who gets about 55 points a year... EXACTLY WHAT LOUI GAVE YOU... What part are you missing Mr Make-Believe??? We had this in our backyard, you didn't wanna pay him 6 million a year, now you wanna trade 4 young players to get a younger version of what you didn't wanna sign???? CRAZZZYYYYY.... DUMBBBB... STUPID....... Time to Trade Krejci, Chara, Krug, Backes and rebuild this team.. This core will not ever win again...

I think I'm missing the part where basing one's analysis solely on a stat sheet became a solid foundation for an argument.

What's the latest on Zboril? I know he went to his first camp overweight and with an attitude but didn't hear much since.

PS: Landy is a bona fide top 6, 2-way forward that brings a lot of different things to a team, to define his role by his stat sheet is as bad as if someone would do the same with Bergeron.

This is a question please don't attack me. If the value is not right please tell me what you would want to make a deal. What would it take to for the Rangers to get McAvoy? Would the two hometown boys be enough, Vesey and Hayes?

Neither are really welcome here for obvious reasons. So much so you can have brother Jimmy for free.

The value isn't right, and there isn't anything you could offer to make the deal happen. BOS has a 40 year old Chara as its #1 D, and McAvoy is the hope for the next #1. Unless you are offering that, no package makes sense.

And middle 6 wingers don't get you bluechip dmen.

I like the idea of Landeskog because it isn't some washed up panic rental move, it is still working at building a team for now and future.

Honestly nothing outside of ridiculousness overpayment ie eichel/doughty/ etc. too valuable to us now and in the future. Dont see a piece or a combo interesting enough from the rangers.

Zboril is an enigma still.

He is a sublime skater. He has a real mean streak. He is capable of being a shut down type defenseman, and can be an offensive player.

On the other hand he still is plagued by mental breakdowns, stupid passes or letting his guy get behind him.

His game is uneven and needs work. His upside is there and still high, but there is bust potential with him if he can't iron out the mental breakdowns

Thanks for the reply's. McAvoy is a stud but think you guys have so many defensive prospects who are legit that something has to give. Right side you have Carlo and McAvoy, Left side you have Zboril, Lindgren, Lauzon. That is sick talent and depth. Good Luck.

Yeah perhaps, but McAvoy looks to be the best of the bunch by a good bit. I can't envision a scenario where BC lets him go

The Bruins really need to be wise on whom to move especially since the Bruins still are in need of that number one defenseman and the Bruins seem to have a few prospects that can fit that bill. The Bruins have some very promising quality forwards too have to be careful who they move

I can't see the bruins taking on Landeskog's contract without unloading at least one contract onto Colorado (i.e Hayes, McQuaid/K.Miller).

I believe across the NHL that Adam McQuaid has value as a bottom pairing. The problem is that most teams have their own Adam McQuaid who also has value. They aren't in high demand but are still needed in the NHL.
