You're right about Hayes, Beleskey. If they bring in lando, they have got to find a way to move both at the culmination of this season, especially if they want to do more than a bridge w pasta. Very fair point

If we're lucky, one gets taken in the expansion draft lol. I think you could find a taker for Beleskey. Hayes might require us to sweeten the pot, unless you find another team with a player who needs a change of scenery

Would not trade Lindgren for "virtually any forward?"

Easy on the hype train, man.

That's why the "virtually" is there....all I meant was I wouldn't trade him for a comparably-valued forward or as a minor piece of a deal to get a forward. That obviously changes if we're talking about star-caliber guys (which I don't consider Landeskog or Duchene to be), but to me he'd still have to be considered a major piece.

I'm fully admittedly higher on those 3 than most are though...I think they're all top 4 guys, and we really don't have the luxury of moving any of them for a forward right now.

Buyout on Hayes at end of year would be 866k for next two. I think you're right about Vegas and Beleskey.

Don't even think you have to do that. Some team would take a gamble on him. Hell the Rangers might think he would be better if he was with his brother. Maybe you get a team to take him in a deal.

True Dom, I was just thinking all these players have money attached for full seasons next year and beyond that have to be considered.

At least you didn't say my proposal was crap. I thought it was pretty fair.

Over on the Stanley Cup of Chowder site - he insists Carlo or McAvoy need to be involved. Not a chance. Carlo is key for this year and Charlie is our best prospect. Neither of them are gong anywhere.

I guess everyone is talking about Landeskog today - so the cat is outta the bag:yo:

As for the article you mentioned: A lot of speculation and guessing is all I'm reading there. One person's opinion.

I wouldn't put much stock, if any, into it.

If Sweeney can land Landeskog without giving up Pasta, McAvoy, or Carlo... That would be amazing.

With all due respect, NOT paying 3rd line guys 3m is the goal. Youth on ELC's + veterans on short term/ money should make up the 3rd line.

I'm in the camp that wants value for cap... Sometimes that comes when you bridge a guy and he plays over his head on a 3rd line

So I'm not 100% saying give your first line guys 10 mill... I'm not 100% saying it's ok to pay 6th dman 2.5mill

You got to take each individual situation and evaluate it

What I will say is we are committed to krejci, bergeron, marchand, backes for around 25 mill. Pastrnak figures to jump that to 30 mill and I we keep belesky, krug and rask we are talking almost 48 mill for 8 players

I see no way to add a larger contract without subtracting one... but we must be certain we can subtract one

Imho we need to get rid of one of macquaid/killer... liles... hayes... belesky... And spooner at roughly 16-17 mill between their 5 contracts... add langeskog at nearly 6... And then we have around 10 to upgrade 1 necessary dman and fill the other 3 spots with minimum contracts

It will mean spending to the cap and will create problems down the road.... but it does require moving alot of dead weight

We can't afford a big ticket item unless we can create room

Thanks for ruining my mood, Mr . Tiano ;)

I just hope you are dead wrong on this one or we might have to fire a certain legend asap....

Dom do you think Carlo is part of discussions?

I sure hope not

given the 6 million dollar pricetag on Landeskog, I am not sure I give up Carlo straight up for him. Carlo is already filling our #2 role for rookie scale.

Given the talk seems to be around 3-4 assets for Landeskog, then there is NO WAY I package Carlo with picks and other prospects for Landerskog

Follow this guy https://twitter.com/rcduthie the info we got is the same, but his is much more in depth. Up to him what he's willing to share

Doesn't have to be Dom but I'm possibly the only 32 year old without twitter and no idea how to use it. I click the link and see posts but nothing about Landeskog? Just Milt Schmidt the UFC talk and college football etc. Am I looking in the wrong place?

That's the right place. As I said, up to him if he wants to share it there. I know he hasn't posted here in a while

Carlo is a stud. He is going to be a legitimate #1 or #2 within the next 3 years. I also hope Vatrano isn't in any talks. I see him being a consistent, hard-working, 30 goal scorer.

I'm in the same boat. I don't think the Bruins will trade Carlo, but on the off chance that they do, for Landeskog etc., they better have another deal ready for a top 4 defenseman coming to Boston.
