The Jets should "never" trade away Brendan Dillon or Lowry. These are 2 big tough guys. and if you don't have guys like that, you'll get pushed around and intimidated. Both guys stood up for the other players tonight. Great now, we're in the playoffs.
I wish Dillon would do so more - we let way too much of that go on our stars. If the refs aren't going to do their job to protect the players, then we have to do it ourselves.

What's your excuse?
Interesting that the worst reffed games I've watched this year have basically all been in the NHL when I've watched so much low-level hockey this year.

There's been a couple MJ games that I had major issues with this season (Refs set a loose standard for hitting from behind, and it gets out of hand), but nothing nearly as dangerous as what went down tonight.
I assume this is because either reffing NHL games is way harder, or NHL referees are more cowardly than junior, or Junior referees have more license to protect players.

Winter is Coming
No. I'm saying that there are 2 versions of this team and I'm not sure which one shows up, I think they could do damage if the right version shows up but if that version doesn't show up, they will be gone. All I'm really saying is I don't know which Jets team will show up.

True, but Reaves is in a cage all by himself.
Sorry, a class all by himself.
I would say Lucic is pretty close 2nd.

Reaves is a better skater, I'd say he's the best pound for pound hitter in the NHL now with Buff retired. Evason let him go over the edge tonight, I'm just glad that a veteran coach like Bowness called Lowry out to end the nonsense, when the refs played to the crowd.

I doubt these two teams meet again until next season, and it's going to continue to be a bad blood rivalry as long as Evason is coaching the Wild. Even before him there was bad blood. I wouldn't be surprised if Bill Guerin brought Reaves back for another year. The Wild aren't as tough without him.

I'll be surprised if the Wild get out of the 1st round though, if this game was a playoff preview.

LOOOOL THE TIMBERWOLVES LOSE AS WELL AFTER BEING UP BIG!

f***ing hilarious game.

Both teams did what they could to lose. The Timberwolves collapse was funny but the funniest moment of the game was AD's ridiculous decision to foul Conley at the end of regulation.

Good game by the Jets compared to their usual over the past couple of months but Hellebuyck dragged the team into the playoffs tonight so he doesn't have to play on Thursday. This was an L with Rittich in goal.

I have no issue with Pionk going after one of their star players.

That is, and I've always believed this, the only way you stop a team from going after your stars. Going after the guy who is doing the gooning does absolutely nothing.

100% this ^

The goon is the distraction you leave alone you absolutely retaliate against one of their best small players. I have no issue with Lowry answering the bell with the goon but that is playing into their hands. Hartman’s cheap shot on our small skilled player begets a cheap shot back on one of their small skilled players. That is an eye for an eye. That is how you send the message that you don’t target our little guys.

Just finished the game. f*** the Mild and their cavemen mentality. Why the f*** is Reaves even in the league anymore? Oh! I know! Because half the coaches are from a meat head era and can’t let go of the past! Hartman gets 2, Reaves gets nothing, and Pionk gets 5. Yeh, that doesn’t look like fixing or anything.

Playoffs baby, here we come. :D
Not bad eh? Must have been a pleasant moment when checking the score.

Hartman has no heart , he, Reeves and the Minnesota coach can all f*** right off . Great game by Helly and our 3rd line again and now we boogie-woogie right into the playoffs.

Swing that tool belt!

I also enjoyed Dillon rag dolling Hartman. Too bad he laid up with class in the end.
