I don't agree with either of the threads being closed. I think they both could lead to suspensions and are worthy of discussion.

I agree. The Pionk thread was obviously made out of spite but goodness, just thread ban the trolls. I’m too invested in this but I’d say a game for Pionk and a game for Hartman would be fair, but wanted some perspective from non-Jets and Wild fans.

I hope the NHL takes note of the referee(s) who didn't call Reeves original boarding penalty and does not assign them any post-season work. Reeves performance is disgusting and a stain on the quality of NHL hockey.
If the referee had called Reeves for boarding, the escalation of violence would have been nipped in the bud right there.

Lowry should be the one given the C if they are going to give one to anyone next year. He is the definition of a leader if you ask me.
The guy stepped up down the stretch when his team needed him and now he is going into the part of the season where he shines.


Lowry, Scheif, and Helle are the players to watch in these playoffs. I think Nino will excel as well. Pionk can be forgiven a lot for his play this season if he plays like he did a couple of years ago against the Oilers.

There's nothing I like doing more, at this time of the year, than watching the Jets in the playoffs.

Nah. Not like Lowry is this dialled in for most of the regular season. The C will be going to Morrissey.

I absolutely love the way the Jets responded to the Wild's dirty tactics. Pionk with the solid two hander in the ribs, let em know you're there. Dillon ragdolls Hartman, feeds him a couple of knuckle sandwiches on the way down. And Adam Lowry takes Reaves off before anyone else could get hurt. Evason coaches like he played, a little on the edge. I don't mind that style, of being intimidating, but you have to respond if the refs won't. And the refs reffed the score, not the game on the ice in the 3rd period. I hope that costs them playoff appearances, because there should be complaints by the Jets on how they handled that game. Letting Reaves run a guy (De Melo) from behind started it. How Hartman didn't get 5 for taking out Ehlers is beyond me, clearly player safety was not their prerogative. I just hope everyone is ok...I was yelling at the TV when Bones sent Morrissey out, because I knew he'd be a target.

Anyways the long season to get to the playoffs has finally come to its goal. If the Jets keep playing like a team, and Helly stands his ground, I think they can make some noise.

God I loved Wings of Liberty. Great game. I should replay that campaign. Never did finish the other two expansions.

At the beginning of the season I didn't think that this team had done enough to be a playoff team, they played well in the first half and then went into the tank for the second half, but somehow when they needed to win they did and didn't back into the playoffs they earned that spot especially tonight. What does the playoff hold, nobody knows the playoff are all about a hot goalie and team hitting their stride at the right time.

Not sure what my blood pressure or heart rate were in those dying minutes when all the Minny BS was happening. Not sure that I have ever screamed so much at a TV in my life!

Good on the team for fighting through all the crap and showing that we can play a playoff style hockey game and come out on top, with Minny's best lineup.

Glad to be hear enjoying a 2nd pour of bourbon!
