That's a great guess, but Anton ended up at 650.

That would be my guess too, but it looks like Brian's run with the Blues is the only one that meets the 700 game threshold. Turns out the Bentleys weren't correct either (seasons were too short back then). So we have the Staals, Sedins, Richards... ?
Looks like Dennis Hull is the brother we were missing. 959 games over 13 years.

Gino and Paul Cavilini couldn’t have played enough games.

Did Dennis Hull play 700? I know he spent most of his career with the Blackhawks.

Ah, right.

Dennis Hull was actually a pretty good NHL player but I rarely (if ever at all) see his name mentioned. Funny, even Brent Gretzky is better known than Dennis Hull, specifically because he's more famous for being forgotten.

Part of the reason you don’t think of him (or at least I don’t) is because Brett is the relation your brain immediately goes to.

That’s very true. I bet people who were adult fans pre-1980 have a different perspective.

I don’t love taking Noesen out of the lineup.

he didn't practice and was getting checked out today. My guess is he's not 100% and we know Rod always likes to see a guy go through a practice before putting him in the line-up.

Sedins obviously

Sutters? Don't know if any if them played for the same.e team for long stretches but there's like 80 of them so maybe.

The other Gretzky, did he even play 700 games? I'm not looking it up.

King Henrik's brother certainly didn't and don't think he even played for the Rags

Not gonna cheat, thise are my best guesses
Rich and Ron Sutter both have over 800 games, not sure if both had 700 with the flyers…

edit: looked it up, not even close…😢

Noesen's probably still not 100% from his run-in with the boards.

If Noesen were healthy, I'm not sure Pacioretty would have been activated yet.

Yeah, the fact that Noesen got injured, came back after intermission, skated around and immediately went back to the locker room, tells me that he’s dealing with something pretty nasty and it’d be best to let him heal up.

Ah, got it. I missed where Noesen was dinged up.

Yeah tweaked something in his leg. Officially ruled out with a Lower Body Injury in the last game. Given he tried to give it a go, I doubt its too terribly serious, and given the current state of the team, there's no need to rush him back.

That said, he's day to day, so we'll see him in March

I mean, it takes some skill to make up 0.0014% of the highest scoring pair of brothers in NHL history.

Parting is such sweet sorrow...

Excited, yes, but Niederreiter made it clear he is still crestfallen that things didn’t work out for him to stay in Raleigh.

“At the end of the day, I wanted to come back here,” he said. “But this is a business and sometimes things don’t go as well as you were hoping for. But I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this organization. Sometimes the business hurts.”

Sounds like the agent overplayed his hand and we already had the Patches deal in the works. So, we only had Kase + Stas money left. That would be way too low for Nino so he had to take best money available a week later.

That was my impression going back to the Athletic article weeks ago. It sucks for both sides, but it's the way things shake out on the FA market sometimes. Both sides have to look out for themselves.
