7 of Panarin's 15 points were on the PP. So, Panarin outscored him 8-5 at even strength. It's not that big of a disparity. He hasnt cooled off too much. Panarin had 15 points in the same 13 games.

lol. Your disappointment and hope is only 10 points off. If going to get that hung up over small margins, I don’t know what to say. It’s like saying aw, the guy only hit .280, I was hoping he’d hit .300, when it’s like 10 hits over the course of a seasonGuess he's cooled off huh? 5 points in his last 13 games. At this rate, he's barely gonna break 45 points as as a top 6 player unless he somehow heats up. I was really hoping he'd be 55-60 point guy with these sort of minutes and playing with Panarin
Exactly. And he did everything he could do tonight. He had extended times just sitting there on the bench between shifts. Often Laviolette throws the 3rd and 4th lines on after a PP and he's got to wait the entire rotation before he gets back on the ice. Goodrow nearly had as much ice time in regulation as Laf did the last 2 games which is stupid and ridiculous. I understand the want to roll lines, but there's no reason in a tight game like tonight to have guys on the 3rd or 4th line getting the same ice time as a top 6 guy. Bonino had more shifts than Laf. Goodrow had one less. Yes they kill penalties. Perhaps think about getting other guys involved. Lav should be double shifting Laf at even strength after a PP and PK if he's not ever going to get on PP1 or a PK, this way he can get into a rhythm instead of sitting an extra 2 to 3 minutes after already sitting often a full 2 min PP and 2 min PK. Sitting 5 to 6 minutes between shifts disrupts a player. Getting no special teams time disrupts a player and causes production to look inconsistent. Having to score all your points at even strength is a lot to ask when you're asking a player to be a 60 point player. He’s going to be fine, I still say he pushes 60 points by the time the season is over
I mean he gets zero PP time, which is fine because our PP is great
He’s not going to be an 80 point guy till he’s playing consistently on the 1st PP
His wrist shot isn't good enough to consistently beat goalies. He’s playing well generally. Severely unlucky when it comes to scoring .
Not many players do..His wrist shot isn't good enough to consistently beat goalies.
First overall picks generally do.Not many players do..
He gets zero PP time because when he is out there on the PP he doesn’t do anything except the obv or pedestrian stuffHe’s going to be fine, I still say he pushes 60 points by the time the season is over

Well, that’s your problem if you are continuously judging him based on 1st overall picks. Guess you will never be happy with him, that’s unfortunate.First overall picks generally do.
The point is that he has an obvious weakness that needs improvement. It's up to him to put in the work to fix it.Well, that’s your problem if you are continuously judging him based on 1st overall picks. Guess you will never be happy with him, that’s unfortunate.
i think he will. He's improved a lot about his game already. The point is that he has an obvious weakness that needs improvement. It's up to him to put in the work to fix it.
I believe he will too, I just have a feeling Lafreniere is a late bloomer, but once he do bloom, then look out as he will be a dynamic player.i think he will. He's improved a lot about his game already.
No PP1 time. He's forced to score and produce everything at even strength.
Joe said it well just before during tonight's game. the dip in production has been more bad luck than anything. He's making plays, setting guys up, stealing pucks, getting open... lately when he's open they don't pass to him, when he sets up plays they flub the pass... He's playing well. I think the production will come back. But, he'd look more consistent production wise if he were on PP1.He’s part of a line that is basically our best at producing even strength chances and he’s a big part of that.

I have to say it but you are just plain wrong, if you replaced any of those guys with laf and even if the rangers PP dropped to 15th in the league he’d still put up 10-15 points on the PpHe gets zero PP time because when he is out there on the PP he doesn’t do anything except the obv or pedestrian stuff
Again, I am overall impressed this season but let’s not make it like if he were there instead of Bread or Tro that he’d be lighting it up.
He wouldn’t
Lucky goal balanced out by not getting 2 assists. He’s been the driver on the line a fair amount of times but they aren’t scoring. It’ll happen soon and it’ll be glorious.Thought he had one of his better perfo as of late tonight. Lucky goal but he played well regardless.
