In the history of the alphabet, there have not been enough L's to effectively make the sound of my Helllll no.Devils get a young player who is cheap, albeit soft. Has potential for growth and willing to work with coaches to get better.
Rangers get an expensive player but proven goal scorer who should score a lot with the right line mates. Provides some toughness but does disappear for long stretches.
Meier is coming off an injury and IMO shouldn't even be playing at this time but I'm sure he convinced the coach he is ready .... he is not.Meier is on pace for ~7 ES goals this season. Laf has already scored 7 ES goals this season. Laf makes 25% of what Meier makes. Nah. We're good.
Meier is also a -17 on a team where the next worst player is a -9. He hasn't had a + game since October.
They gotta blend in, how else do you think the trash gets there? The OP’s avatar is a man wearing a NJ Devils hat and his user name is Nemec.
You don’t need a sanitation truck dumped on you to guess what team he roots for.
Meier seems to be bad fit in Jersey. Trades like that lie on your GM. Could kill your rebuild totallyDevils get a young player who is cheap, albeit soft. Has potential for growth and willing to work with coaches to get better.

I’m sure this will go over well.

Well sure but no one is touching that Huberdeau contractCalgary would for Huberdeau
Yes, yes we would. I can't think of a player I wouldn't trade Huberdeau for. Maybe Bob because we already have 3 NHL goalies. Even then though, I might still do it.Calgary would for Huberdeau
How much cap is NJ retaining to make this work.Devils get a young player who is cheap, albeit soft. Has potential for growth and willing to work with coaches to get better.
