yeah exactly. If he did that more often but his point totals were the same there'd be a lot less consternation. That was an incredible move, hope that breaks the shell so to speak and he starts pulling off more of that.

Yea and that's the case regardless of whether he actually scores on the move. You want to see him at least make the effort. If he has the confidence to try it that's a good thing. If he's able to do it and get around the defender that's even better. I don't really care whether or not the goalie makes the save on it. Those are the flashes that we've almost never seen. Clearly he has the ability to do it. He just did. Hopefully he now has the confidence to keep doing it. At that's back to what I said previously about I don't care what his point totals are now. I don't need some guy to twist numbers around and point out how he has the most goals in his class or he's third on the team in 5v5 goals and ignore that he's shooting 20%. I already know those things. Most of those goals weren't good plays or anything. They were right place at the right time (which is good but not necessarily repeatable). This one was different.

Shooting 20% isn't inherently a bad thing when you look at the goals he's scored. You'd want it to be decent if his SOG total was higher, but it's not bad the way it is
