These numbers don't include the two goals today.
He just needs the assists to start piling up and the doubt will go away. He could easily reach 20 goals with no PP time.
Those assists are scary low though.

Those are so reliant on the other guy finishing. Playing a chunk of time with snake bitten players like Chytil and Gauthier will make getting apples impossible. The important thing is does he demonstrate the vision, awareness and passing ability. He has displayed all 3 just not as consistent as needed to be that dominant force. He just needs the assists to start piling up and the doubt will go away. …and in greater numbers. They’ll be back
Well, if you want to shut them up here is the goal:…and in greater numbers.
Well, if you want to shut them up here is the goal:
I could watch that on repeat for an hour.
As a neutral fan (Zona), Laf is absolutely not a bust. At all. Anyway I'll show myself out. Thanks everyone you're welcome in our boards anytime (except for that first guy who must have been choking on a bagel or something while he was posting). Thanks everyone else, your thoughts on Miller especially were incredibly helpful (had no idea he was so well regarded by you guys, I'll pay more attention to him). Thanks again for sharing your insight!
I think we all needed that goal. LolBeen clamoring for some signs of the elite skill to come out, just to give a flash of that skill and swagger. Boy it showed today on that goal.

Have we considered the possibility that the “Lafreniere” we saw yesterday might actually have been a smuggled out VK wearing a fake goatee? Hmmm. The dirty blonde locs flowing in the wind behind him, the edgework, the swagger, the neck… that was not better or cleaner than Kravtsov. I’m glad to see Gallant made him study Kravtsov highlights while he was scratched though
Well based on Gallants medical team testing statement I'm wondering if he is not in top shape. I'm not saying he has not hustled but many young guys are not in the best shape of their careers. Lets see if he shows something extra today.

Very well. Dominant by the advanced stats and looked solid by the eye testHow did he play last night aside from the goals?
I’ll take that one step further, the whole Kravtsov saga was orchestrated by the Rangers to avoid having to sign him to the league maximum contract coming off his ELCThis is kind of a sinister theory, but do you guys think the Rangers might purposefully be limiting Laf and Kakko's opportunities so that they can afford both of them past a few seasons? Let's be real, if they were both pacing for 60 points this season there is no way in hell we can afford to meet their next contract demands with the hefty contracts we're carrying.
indirectly they have played a part. If you're not getting consistent top6 minutes and PP1 time, your numbers will be limited. This is kind of a sinister theory, but do you guys think the Rangers might purposefully be limiting Laf and Kakko's opportunities so that they can afford both of them past a few seasons? I've seen very little of the vision and the passing ability. One of the most alarming signs is the way he executes an odd man rush. Too many times has just sawed the puck in half. I need him to change the way he holds his stick. Those are so reliant on the other guy finishing. Playing a chunk of time with snake bitten players like Chytil and Gauthier will make getting apples impossible. The important thing is does he demonstrate the vision, awareness and passing ability. The flashy goals are fun for sure, but I don’t need them to form my opinion of a player. That move didn’t move the needle for me because my take was already that he was going to be an excellent NHLer with time. And if he never tried that it wouldn’t change anything.
Those between the legs and MI goals aren’t going to be a predominant part of any players totals. I’d rather a 40 goal scorer with ZERO flash than a 25 goal scorer pulling off trick moves.
He definitely did. In fact I think that was good for Laf. Good for Gallant and probably something the fans needed to see as well.Well, he certainly showed something extra!
You've been very fair this whole time. We would only be so lucky to have most other fans coming into our threads engage in such good faith.
