Pronman wrote something about Stützle AND Byfield over Lafrenière

Look, you either judge on immediate success, and make a case for Stützle or you judge on upside and make a case for Lafrenière but there's no scenario where you rank both ahead of Laf. It's ridiculous.

I love Stützle. I really enjoy his rise as a prospect but I would never have drafted him 1st overall

I think he said he'd still take Lafreniere #1 but that other GMs have told him they would no longer do that.

Still don’t get why he isn’t on PP1. What is Quinn afraid to ruin the amazing chemistry on that unit? Players like him need space. Rangers are garbage in transition and at creating off the rush so he’s not getting any space to work with 5 on 5 . Kakko too. Yeah he’s making nice plays on the boards but he’s not getting to the middle of the ice so all the nifty wall moves in the world won’t translate to points

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I'd be surprised if any GM actually sat down with Pronman, let alone multiple GMs.

I thought he was pretty good last night.

I did as well, had multiple plays that stood out as higher end and didn't make any noteworthy errors. Heck, one play I really liked involved an entry on the PP in the first period where he temporarily froze the defense, allowing the Rangers to set themselves up properly. Only issue is the right play involved throwing it around the boards and........nobody else seemed to clue in on a basic read unfortunately, even despite having all the time in the world to get ready.

Laf should be the bumper or on the right dot on PP1. Now and long term. More than likely bumper because Kakko makes sense on the right dot.

As much as Buch has improved, he has too much trouble finishing.

If you would have told me that they were gonna play together for a good stretch and Lafreniere would have zero assists on Mika goals almost half way into the season I would have told you that you were crazy. I mean, like 100% of it is Mika's finish. He has 3 goals and one was into an empty net.

He's probably broken 5-6 times more sticks on one-timers than he has scored goals total.

Why couldn’t Lafreniere join the team at the end of last season when Zibanejad scored f***ing 10,000 goals in the last 17-ish games?
