He certainly didn't wait on KK.

Barron is going to end playing in Europe like Beaulieu. That's about the only place on earth where his game fits without massive refactoring.
He would be a f***ing star in Europe imo. He's got a good amount of skill.

Barron might yet turn out well on a team that can afford to shelter him and carry him for a few years, or he may bounce around and the blossom later in his career, it has happened. The Habs I don't think had that luxury.

Don't understand how some don't like this move. Barron couldn't even be a regular on the worst defensive team in the league. Carrier was averaging 20 minutes a night on a team that before this year, was considered a solid defensive team.

Yes he's having a rough year, but so is everyone on that team. He's going to step right in and by the end of the first period he plays everyone will see this is a W for us.

Side note, Trotz is kind of making puzzling moves for that team. He waves Fabbro than trades a guy who plays 20 minutes a night against Barron? IMO Fabbro is a better defender than Barron.

It's puzzling to say the least.

Do you want name calling and insults? That's how you get name calling and insults. NEVER doubt Kent and his amazing abilities

Criteria for Kent's moves

Is he under 6' ? Check
French ? Check
Under 200lbs? Check
Sus in all ends of the rink? Check

Get him asap for the rebuild !
As usual, you have no clue what you're talking about and just want to complain...

His acquisitions.....Laine, MM, Barron, Heinneman, Dach, most of the draft picks....all over 6'. Only a couple like Newhook at around 6'. You have no clue.

Getting rid of Barron for a bag of pucks is fine.

It's the big picture view of how we got here that makes this incredibly annoying and frustrating.

Another lesson here: HuGo is willing to cut their losses if a guy is not showing signs of progress. Better than Bergevin who waited till the very end

Yes, that's good.

Even better is to not have made the mistake in the first place.

He should never make another deal with Colorado.

He's been fleeced twice now by them.

It’s not like he traded KK…. .
It ends up the same on the log book. The trade was KK for a 1st & 3rd rounder. He wasn't forced to do it either, he could have extended KK before then also. So he wasn't exactly as patient as Hughes with Slafkovsky for instance.

Keep in mind, when Habs traded Lehkonen, they also got a 2nd round pick in the deal from Colorado. Habs used that pick in the deal to move up a few spots at last year's draft to select Hage.

So it's Lehkonen for Carrier + Hage.
Actually it's Lehkonen = Carrier + 1/3 Hage

It was reactive not proactive.

I will add carrier is a legit top 4 d and better than savard was when we signed him. Nashville could have waited and sold him for a real return with retention but whatever.

Nashville are the one team in the league that could develop Barron though to be fair. Marty has no ability with dmen. Robidas just tells them pretend to be hurt and get paid to do nothing or something.

Dobson has pretty much a goldilocks morphology. Too little neck and you're likely headed for a coaching career, the bottom lines or chronic unemployment (this risk doubles and sometimes triples depending on studies if you have narrow eyes as well). Too much neck and you'll be cursed with one of the worst "gifts" one can be born into: talented enough to make the pros, but destined to be the fans laughing stock and soon to be out of the league. You won't make enough income to sustain a whole life, you're likely of average intelligence meaning your prospects outside of hockey are, at best, mediocre and you've tasted just enough of the sweet, sweet nectar of professional sports to be able to be nostalgic about what could have been, but which wasn't ever realistic with your cursed morphology.

Then, you have players like Dobson. You measure the neck and it's, quite evidently, of above average length, but still well within what's considered normal. It's imposing without being in freak territory. Think of a magnificent eagle with its long strong neck, compared to a horrible looking animal like an emu with it's abomination of a morphology, unable to fly or do much of anything except be slaughtered.

Just look at this fine specimen:

Notice the resemblance with one of our prospects, Mailloux. Similar facial structure and features above the filtrum. Where does he differ though ? What makes Dobson a star while Mailloux a player who we fear might become another low IQ player. It's the wide jaw compared to Maillouxs narrower, triangle shaped jaw and chin, highlighting his neck. This triangle shape also appears when you look at him from his profile. Two pieces of evidence to show everyone what I mean:

Look at the blue lines and sharp angles. The whole facial and head morphology pronounces the neck further.

Meanwhile:

Just beautiful. A perfect specimen.
This sounds like a sub-category of Phrenology. Next, you'll break out the epheremis and cast their astrological charts.
