He's a good player at $3.5, I think the only way you move him is if there is an upgrade to a player with game-breaking ability or if the top 9 is too crowded.

Mikhayev will get $4+ and maybe approach $5/year on a multi year

I'm assuming he walks, if we pay Mikheyev that instead of keeping Hyman I will cry.

He's definitely a useful player - a legit top six/nine guy, but the team can probably use a bit of a change up with some support players and the cap for that has to come from somewhere.

Kerfoot Mik and Willy give us all our speed upfront .. we lose all 3 of those guys and we may have slowest forward group in NHL .. skill alone is not enough we need guys with jets who can forecheck and play PK
