I find the whole Buch situation comical at times, AV doing some good things, but there are some decisions which are mind blowing; like taken out from the thin air and do some things and changes that absolutely make no sense whatsoever, but he shuffled the lines & pairings and Pavelec by all goalies get a shootout.

The only thing that did not surprise me in that game was that Zucc who scored on that penalty to keep his stats above 50%, but both goalies last game was unreal, they both had some amazing saves so it was a highly entertaining game even though it was 0-0 after OT.

Whatever he told them to do against Washington, they need to keep doing that. Sloppy game overall, but they were well coached.

Look at the responses. I don't think they'd ask him any of these questions.

OMG that's hilarious.

Credit where credit's due, the guy became more risk averse than ever and helped settle the team down and put them back in contention.

I think he's done a much better job than earlier in the year... but he's turtling with his strategy again, and that's just his achilles heel. He doesn't have the depth to really hold guys accountable either.

If he did, then I'm not sure if Nieves would get as much ice time or Hayes.

Not shocking, people light up AV every time they put out the AV squad tweets

The majority of the fan base has turned against him, to no ones surprise

To be fair, Buch hasn't really deserved more playing time. Outside of that 3 point game, and a couple other games during this period, he has been very ineffective. He's not making plays, he's losing puck battles, he's easy to knock off the puck. He needs to play alot better.

I think you are right and wrong. He's playing bad hockey recently, but your top forwards should not need to deserve more playing time to get it. Nash and Hayes aren't even averaging half a point per game, which should be a pretty basic requirement for a big minutes forward, and they have not had their ice time decreased. But at the same time, 2nd in points, 2nd in goals, 1st or 2nd in like every real possession, offensive efficiency stat on the team, and pretty high around the league on some of these stats. He's clearly been one of our best players this season, and overall deserves way more ice time this season than he's got. 14th on the team in ice time.

Play your best players the most. After that, you can discuss whether they are playing well. But if they aren't, the answer should not be to lessen their ice time. If they are no longer one of your best forwards, thats when you lessen their ice time. I don't think a month of bad hockey really changes the overall play.

How people haven't woken up to the fact that this guy has been carried by elite goaltending his entire coaching career truly baffles me.

The personnel on this team isn't as bad as they come out on paper. HL30, and OP31 when he plays, are dragging this system into the playoffs.

I really want to see what happens to AV when his tenure with the Ranger is over. Send him to a team with an average goalie. Make my life.

I'm not sure he's gone until the end of the season... merely because that's what'll cause me most pain.

Maybe Gorton doesn't know he can fire him?

Imagine Vigneault coaching Winnipeg, Buffalo, well, a big portion of the teams in this league. Imagine the results. I can't stop laughing. It would be an epic slaughter of that poor team.

They looked like this the first month of the season then they looked good for almost 2 months and now back to this blatant mediocrity. The team lacks offensive talent but it's still good enough not to be this bad.

Meh. Lundqvist saved the season. The team has always been mediocre. The defensive scheme is absolutely bound for failure. If Hank doesn’t carry the mail, we’re probably not even a bubble team this year. I almost wish he hadn’t been so good, but it’s impossoble to want to see Hank do poorly.

If after what 4 f***ing years, the team is losing people in the slot, either guys are clueless or the system sucks,
