Quote from last night’s Chicago game :amazed:

Texas (18-20-5-4) jumped on top in record-setting fashion as center Josh Melnick scored eight seconds into the game with a shot from the top of the right circle — the fastest opening goal in a Wolves game during their 28-year history.
“It’s good for us,” said Wolves head coach Ryan Warsofsky. “We need to experience these things. And I think it’s a good teaching moment — whether it’s for us in the playoffs or Ryan Suzuki in a year or six months in the NHL and he’s in that situation. You can look at it a lot of different ways — and we need to look at it in a positive way and a teaching moment.”

Kochetkov is confident playing the puck

both Suzuki and Drury scored because the Texas goalie couldn’t squeeze the post

Wolves rally to corral Stars

Drury likes playing Texas, he has 4 Gs and 2 As in 5 games against them.

Wolves played uninspired hockey last night but won 2-1, thanks to Kochetkov. He made a few outstanding saves in his 31 shots faced. He even received a couple of ovations from the crowd after the saves.

Noesen scored his league leading 30th
Drury continues to put up points, especially against Texas. He had an assist.
Smallman and Suzuki also had an assist.

If Kotch keeps this up, I wonder how quickly he'll vault up the goalie heirarchy in the org
Does he really even need to vault up? Unless you mean to the NHL, in which case, I'd imagine he'll get time next year or the year after depending on whether he's in NA or not. That's certainly the benefit of short term vet goalie deals. Easy to move on at any time if a young guy is ready.

wish kotch was in net today. was hoping to see him (or makiniemi if he is healthy) today since they're on nhl network.

lafontaine in net. he's given up one early. it was worse than any of the ones he gave up in his canes start. poor kid - hope he figures it out.

Good to see Pyotr playing well in NA sized rinks….. nice highlight package…

be surprised if we can keep Drury down next year….. he’s doing everything he can top down there to be noticeable if we need a call up…only possible thing I can think might work against him is our roster balance and having too many little guys not fully grown into their frames yet……. We have to be careful we keep enough heaviness in the lineup provided they can also keep up and play….. Jarvis needs to fill out. Hopefully he develops a bit in the offseason….

Drury is very solid. I’d have no issue with him in the NHL right now.
