It looks pretty good... But honestly I thought Secret Wars looked great in the trailer as well so I'm not setting any expectations at this point. Been a lot of complete swing and misses from Marvel lately especially when it comes to the Disney+ series'.

But we'll see. To me it kind of feels like Multi-Verse of Madness and Deadpool 3 are maybe paving the way for Marvel to start pushing the ratings limits further. This series looks like it'll be more horror then you might expect which would be nice to see.

....Why exactly is Agatha a villain now? Wasn't she the friendly elderly mentor to Wanda who helped her harness her hex magic, was the babysitter to Franklin Richards and Wanda's twins and a member of The Daughters of Liberty which was a group determined to protect the freedom of everyone who were founded by Harriet Tubman? But sure yeah make her evil or whatever just for reasons close enough.

I was hoping that the lengthy development was enough time for Marvel to realize maybe this wasn't such a great idea, but I guess not.
Anyway, I'll watch it because Aubrey Plaza seems perfect for this

So to start at least looks like she is still under the effects of Wanda's Hex and the style of the show is kind of like Wandavision. Wonder how she will react to learning Wanda is gone and if they will use this at the end as a way to bring her back.

Nope, she acted out that she was a friend but was a foe the whole time and we see that as the fight it out in the last episode or two.

I was talking about her in the comics not the show.

Just finished the first episode... I honestly really enjoyed that. Series has big potential I think.

Edit: And just finished episode 2... Yeah, I am genuinely quite intrigued by where this show is going to go.

Marvel’s focus on quality is off to a good start.

Some thoughts:

- fairly obvious the unnamed teen is an older version of Wanda’s son Billy
- how he exists will hopefully be unveiled in this show
- his motive he says is power but I believe he really wants to reincarnate Wanda and maybe that’s how we get her back into the MCU

- Rio is a bit of a decoy villian IMO .. one her and Agatha have their conflict, Billy’s identity will be revealed and I think it will come down to him vs the witches
- plays out well as a setup to young avengers with vision quest coming up next as a TV series

I don't love it but don't hate it either. I can see where it is going and there is a lot more to like about the first two episodes than not. The links to WandaVision and Dr Strange and the Multiverse of madness are there and this is supposed to lead into the solo Vision series so I am onboard.

it took me a few minutes to realize that they were spoofing Kate Winslet's Mare of Easttown for the firs 20 minutes
My wife and I were proud of ourselves once we caught on. The intro to the show-within-a-show also seemed to be a parody of the Wire.

Really good first 2 eps. I wasn't in the mood for TV last night but relented and turned it on. Couldn't say no to episode two once that started playing and I'm glad I watched.

So far, it's been good. No major special effects, so the budget for this should be in line unlike other Marvel/Star Wars streaming shows. But, who knows.

I was thinking he was gonna wind up being Agatha's son Nicholas Scratch

That almost feels a little too obvious as if its what theyre wanting us all to think.

Like the award in the childs room in Agathas house having Nicholas Scratch on it felt like they were trying to make us think thats where we were going.

Either way, there's honestly a lot of intrigue to this series. Outside of Loki this was honestly the best start to a marvel series for me.

Just watched the third episode:

they are really trying to sell the kid as Nicolas Scratch… seems too obvious to be true

Also a Mephisto reference!!

Yeah, at this point it feels like such an obvious red herring. They want us to think he's her son. I guess that could turn out to be true, but I think they're purposely misleading. Which then really begs the question of who exactly he is, if not Agatha's Son.

EDIT: Well f*** me, a god damn funko pop just spoiled the shit out of this series for me... But I am very excited to see it play out.

Honestly this is quickly rising the ranks for me in the MCU. 3rd episode was even better then the first two which I already thought were great. Feels like theres actual stakes at hand here on top of all the intrigue and unknown going on.

Oh, and some legitimate horror aspects to top it all off. So obvious that the introduction of Deadpool has sort of pushed the MCU boundaries further when it comes to the stuff that's maybe no longer for kids as well.

Cant wait for next weeks episode... Haven't said that about a Marvel series in a long time.

I find the nods to witches and the writing details really well done as well.

Highly recommend Screencrush’s summary videos go cover these
