The biggest issue is that when Eller snowed Rask earlier in the season, it was MUCH more egregious, and was let go. Much like an awful lot of calls this whole series. If the refs called it on Eller then called the same thing on Marchand, we've got nothing to complain about. But you can't let it go on one end of the ice, then call it down on the other end. No one's making up calls - they are complaining about the clear double standard.

Pretty sure it was this same pair that let the snow shower by Eller go too.

But he wasn't really pulling his antics tonight-that's my point. He was racing towards the goal where we want players to be and pulled up so he would t it effete but got called for the penalty. Eller's snow shower on Rask earlier I the series (game 1 or 2) was far more purposeful and wasn't called.

A crosscheck to the head that knocks you into a goalie isn't interference it's a penalty in the other team unless these refs are the crew and it's Marchand getting crosschecked.

Marchy wasn't pulling his antics but the refs were still calling phantom penalties in him.

Marchand is a liability whether he is being a pill or playing disciplined and that is a problem.[/QUOTE]

I agree. But he needs to change and adjust on a long period of time... needs to be invisible for a moment. Then when it counts - he comes back.

On Markov, that was a bad ref call. Most of the three first Bruins call tonight were brutal! But the snow shower, don't take the chance. He could have easily avoid it. That is a bad decision, and that is what Marchand is to often. doing : bad decision. With, or without the puck, and also when he is undisciplined.

I just don't understand how you can know Seidenberg is hurt and not give up whatever it takes to get Andrew MacDonald.(Or some other top 4 D)

I know you can say it was on the offense..but the game completely changes when you are down early due to mistakes from your young D(Bart in 7, Miller in 6)

Yep this is where I am, early miscues from rookie dmen completely changed the complexion of these last 2 games. Constantly having to play catch up is a tough way to play. Not letting the offense off the hook but we couldn't even get settled into a rhythm before we were chasing the games.

Maybe we see some changes and speed into the lineup.

I think Florek, Lindblad or some other Providence player should replace Thornton.

I wouldn't mind some more speed but not sure that's what beats the Habs.

Gotta give credit where credit is die. They wanted it more.

Seids went down, we got Mez at the deadline, and my initial gut instinct was that as presently constituted if the B's got to the 2nd round I'd consider that acceptable, so, back to the drawing boast as BrainJ would requote.

Go Rangers!

Chara is still a number 1 but the decline is clearly happening. The guy was worn out half way trough the second round. Not replacing Seids really didn't help.

Chara is still a #1, people need to give their head a shake.

If the trade market really believes that and agrees with you, then he'll bring fair value this summer. We won't be able to say that 2, 3 or 4 summers from now if we keep him. The Islanders and Senators didn't hold onto him long enough; Bruins are in danger of holding onto him for too long.

Toronto native/Isles fan in peace.

I get to Boston every June on the way to our cottage in Maine. The 2011 and 2013 runs made the city electric when I was there, and I'll never forget being able to jump into the ad hoc parade after the 4-0 win in '11. Boston's been my go-to team for decades whenever my Islanders stink. Which is almost always. So, I'm bummed.

I still wish I had your team. It's the coolest team in the east. It's accomplished a heckuva lot more than that Neely-Bourque-Moog team I cheered so lustily back in the days when I thought Mike Milbury had an ounce of brain. The window on this group's not closed yet.

Onto the CF, and a disturbing amount of pro-Rangers propaganda.

Just saw the video of Looch in the handshake line, that was certainly strange and he definitely said something stupid.

He should keep his mouth shut until next season.

Just came up on TSN now, he's mad over a goal celebration? Maybe you should win the game then, bud.

Edit: Yeah, he really looks like a sore loser here.

I'm pretty sure we hear Chara is injured within the next few days.

Marchand just sucked and Krejci is about 50/50 injured but I am willing to bet Chara is nursing at least one injury.

This 100%, but you're playing only two vets on D, with him and Boychuck the margin for error becomes very thin and I think we saw that this series. Love the strides Dougie and Krug made but I thought we still needed a more veteran presence on the d rather than Bart and Miller. But because the deadline passed with only minor moves those were the guys we were stuck going to war with.

yes, when he's well rested. That double OT in game 1 cancelled out the rest he got between rounds. there is a reason i was saying we should be hoping for Slovakia and Finland to be ousted asap from the olympics. (little did i know i should have been rooting against Czech Republic too).

if there's one thing this team has lost since 2011 it's humility. That 2011 team really knew how to shut the **** up and just play. I hope they make some changes to get back to that mentality.

I think Krejci got hurt in game one against the Wings.

Chara looked great in these playoffs until about game 3 of this series.
