Yup...His price just went up lol
Complete garbage. Monahan is a far better player. It would only be a disaster if he gets injured. And you aren't getting a centre for less thn a 1st and a good prospect. Late 1st's aren't worth much this year.At least a 2nd + prospect. Arguably a 1st + small throwin(Especially if they retain 50%).
I would much, much rather Colorado trade a 1st for Henrique then I would Monahan. Ultimately dont think either guy would be enough of a difference maker for us to win the cup, but Henrique would at least give us a fighters chance. Monahan would be a complete disaster.
do they take a cap dump, say like ryjo.If Lindholm gets that, Henrique gets a late 1st.
Price just went up. NYR/NJ/BOS all need forward help.
Ok,The Ducks can just let the teams outbid each other anyways lol.Calgary overpaying to get the best player on the market early means nothing to the return on the other guys. Nothing.
You mean Vancouver, right?Calgary overpaying to get the best player on the market early means nothing to the return on the other guys. Nothing.
No. Only potential cap dumps that expire July 1.do they take a cap dump, say like ryjo.
seems like a very avs player. i think he gets a package similar to lehkonen.
i dont think he'll get a much as lehkonen but similar. lehky is much younger and was obviously part of their longer term plans in a way that henrique wouldn't be.He does seem like a good fit. Strikes me as a place he'd sign an extension.
Lehkonen returned a former first round pick and second round pick. Assuming the ducks retain 50%, what would the Avs have now to make a comparable offer? Maybe their first and a prospect?
then they probably dont get a package like calgary just got.No. Only potential cap dumps that expire July 1.
Last year was probably the best time to trade him but I can see the Avs being all over this
I think it depends on the cap dumpi dont think he'll get a much as lehkonen but similar. lehky is much younger and was obviously part of their longer term plans in a way that henrique wouldn't be.
i could see avs doing a 2nd + olausson or a 1st + foudy. but i think they'd include ryjo over henrique @50%.
then they probably dont get a package like calgary just got.
out of curiosity why Henrique over Monahan? He’s my 2nd choice after Lindholm for WPG
maybe but the price goes way up from the late 1st. If you want the Ducks to retain on Henrique and then take 8 million cap hit back. That cost will be huge.do they take a cap dump, say like ryjo.

Shoot my bad....I completely forgot about thatAvs are only on the hook for half of RyJo's contract, so it's a 4M cap hit they would be looking to shed, rather than 8M.
Your point still stands though, with another year remaining on the deal, the Ducks aren't eating that without significant incentive.
Wouldn't they go after someone younger to fit their core?Devils need him now with McLeod being as monster garbage human.
Meier-Hischier-Bratt
Toffoli-Hughes-Mercer
Palat-Henrique-Holtz
Nosek-Haula-Lazar
That'll do.
This is the player the Avs and Jets need now.
