If the Sens are out of playoff contention by the trade deadline, I wonder how much Gaudette would fetch in a trade.
4th or 5th round pick.

Stü should steal that line from Bobby Ryan to Dzingle… from CIH, something like “get open in the slot, put your stick in the rafters, I’ll make you millions”
He was scoring before Timmy. It got to the point they couldn't ignore it, and had to move him up.Wait until the end of the year to make a decision...or at least the trade deadline. Kid found his niche with Timmy. Let it ride out and see what happens.
But it is a fun story. Nice to be on this is of it after a trade.
It's pure ignorance. Laugh and mock what you don't understand. Spiritual>Mental>Physical.I know people like to make fun of him for the crystal things, but honestly, it's way less gross of a superstition than Crosby using the same jock strap since high school.

Good for Gaud getting in 'tune' with the resonance.
I don’t think that is correct at all, but I guess it depends on the definition of “beginning of the year”.Pretty impressive lol. I remember at the beginning of the year we all thought - correctly - that Green would deploy him on PP2 as one of the point men, but he's taken that and run. Mixed with some bullish work from the previous iteration of the 4th line, he's a natural.
Agreed, perhaps it was a little later. It was after he made it and then knowing the relationship and usage he had with Green in Vancouver that you start thinking that it's a slam dunk for him to be on the right point during PPs. He had to make the team though, then not get claimed on waivers.I don’t think that is correct at all, but I guess it depends on the definition of “beginning of the year”.
At the end of the exhibition games, a lot of people thought that Jenik &/or Ostapchuk would make the cut and Gaudette would be out of luck. Also, after several (numerous) games, lots of posters questioned whether promoting Gaudette up in the lineup was wise.
I would say it more depends where he sticks than the shooting percentage. If he sticks on the top line, or in the top 6 in general, he'll end up taking a lot more shots that will balance out the shooting percentage. What is unsustainable is him getting 30-35 on the 4th line playing as little and taking as few shots as they do, playing with other 4th liners.Gaudette isn't scoring 30-35 goals this year, as his 35% shooting percentage is not going to last.
Could see him ending up with 20G and around 30-40 points, but even that kind of production is not worth paying him more than 1-1.5M a year because he doesn't bring enough outside of scoring.
Sign him to an extension; we need his goal-scoring.4th or 5th round pick.
Gaudette looks like a "shooter" to me. We are missing pure shooters who can do one-timers and get it on net. He seems to have some chemistry with Greig. I hope he continues to score and we can afford to sign him at a decent salary.I'm still weary of extending him... but.
For all those bringing up signings like Greening, Smith, White, Butler ect;
Butler and Greening did it with Spezza,
White and Smith did it with Stone
Gaudette was doing it on the 4th line with Cousins and MacEwen... he worked his way up to the top line.
Idk if it's sustainable, probably not at the level he's been going at, but credit where it's due, he's done it regardless of who his linemates are.
I was wondering the same thing and here's a breakdown of his goals:I'm still weary of extending him... but.

If he keeps up his shooting percentage, we'd probably be in no position to be sellers at the deadline! If Gaudette somehow keeps up his insane shooting percentage, I hope we can get a 1st or 2nd from some desperate GM that thinks he can be a great playoff run addition. Especially because there's no way we'll be able to extend him if he delivers 30g lol
I’ll take a guess saying that playing with Stutzle especially for any length of time will help his goal totals.I would say it more depends where he sticks than the shooting percentage. Robbing another GM in a heavily lopsided trade in our favour seems to be a constant theme in your posts. It's very odd and its like a trade where both teams get something they want of equal or near equal value is somehow very rare.If Gaudette somehow keeps up his insane shooting percentage, I hope we can get a 1st or 2nd from some desperate GM that thinks he can be a great playoff run addition. We need a Foligno Methot type trade. Hockey trade.Robbing another GM in a heavily lopsided trade in our favour seems to be a constant theme in your posts. It's very odd and its like a trade where both teams get something they want of equal or near equal value is somehow very rare.
