If the Sens are out of playoff contention by the trade deadline, I wonder how much Gaudette would fetch in a trade.

Haha so true. Stu put two off of Gaudette into the net last night. The second one was a sweet deflection though.

If he puts up 35 goals this year I don't think you are getting him back for 1.2 million/year. Someone else will offer him way more. I don't think he can continue his ridiculous shooting %, but he got elevated in the lineup and should now get more shots, so he doesn't have to maintain an insane % to score. Amadio is getting 2.6 and has a career high of 27 points. Duclair got 3x3 off 26ish goals in 67 or so games with the Sens.

IF Gaudette can continue to produce (100% not sure of this - i doubt it) and racks up 35 goals, somebody is paying him. If he clicks with Stutzle and can finish his setups then $3M is peanuts, especially if 1-2 years in case it was a one year fluke. They spent way more on Tarasenko, Dadynov, Perron, for arguably less results.
