It does make you wonder if Green had any influence in the signing of Gaudette from their time together in Vancouver.
His last time playing for Green gave him best season in the NHL in Vancouver in 2019-20 with 33 points in 59 games, which is pretty decent.

Hard to really put a prediction on how this year goes for Gaudette but at this point, you have to think that a 20-goal season is possible.
He said yesterday he likely wouldn't have come back to Ottawa had it not been for Green being named coach.

Beam me up, Scotty.

Wonder if any of the journalists have asked TG if they've thought of playing him with Timmy's line?
Not that, but he did acknowledge Adam not really being a typical 4th liner and that rarely would you have a 4th line center with his hands and shot. Seems to like that benefit on the 4th line and singled them all out as playing well.

His most relevant time as an NHLer previously came under Green. So it's not surprising that there was mutual interest.

This is like Boucher bringing in Didomenico. Coaches do this stuff all the time for what are supposed to be 12th-13th forward type roles. They bring back someone who has good vibes or is funny or reminds them of that great year in 13-14 when they coached a team in the fourth tier Alvaskian soccer league to a playoff win.

Luckily for us, Green's Didomenico is Mr.#44in24 and the front running for the Rocket Richard trophy.

I remember watching the Rocket play live on TV (Original 6 days).

I am not sure who Godette reminds me of but he certainly has a scorer's nose for the net and quick shot and to a little extent reminds me of some of the smaller shooters like Sakic, Robitaille and Bossy. But he is most likely not ever going to be like those 3 on a long-term basis.

Great to see him securing his spot and carving a role on the 4th line and 2nd PP.

He obviously has good hands and a great shot, but it's evident that he's worked on his skating, defensive positioning, and I've peeped him have himself some great backchecks and takeaways too.

Don't give him more than he can chew, he's perfect where he is now. If there's injuries we'll see what happens.

They should try it, Gaudette has the hot hand. I think he would do a lot better than Amadio or Greig have.
That would seem logical......as Spock would say and then they could go at warp speed!

Love it in his post game with Claire Hannah (have to say the full name it’s just one of this names) he said

“I’ve been hungry for two years”

This guy has that burning desire to win and be an impact NHL’er like Brady and Stu and Chabot talk about. Great fit
