How badly are we beat down that there is any actual desire to have him part of our team?

Let someone else give him a show me contract. He will do fine in AZ or wherever but we need to believe we can place better players on our roster at this point.

I wish that were the case but I'm afraid we're not deep enough yet to be past the "throw stuff at the wall" phase of the rebuild. A couple of injuries to our forwards, and again we'll be scrambling. As he's an RFA, we have some say as to where this dude goes, so let's exercise it a little longer. and I say this as someone who's not even a Gaudette fan.

Leafs media, no joke, described him as: “a good 4 line centre. A guy who checks hard, puts defence above offence...”

Lmao

He’s been really good defensively. I pay close attention to the support he gives in the Dzone and how focused he is on getting the puck out of the Dzone and he’s been real good defensively.

Some guys on this team could learn from him.
Yah on this team that is pretty much an easy given lol. He pays attention to detail and knows he has to to keep his spot

How did we acquire Adam this year?
St.Louis had him on their AHL team Springfield Thunderbirds last year where he scored 44 goals...so how did we acquire him from the St. Louis Blues organization?

Came back because of Green
It does make you wonder if Green had any influence in the signing of Gaudette from their time together in Vancouver.
His last time playing for Green gave him best season in the NHL in Vancouver in 2019-20 with 33 points in 59 games, which is pretty decent.

Hard to really put a prediction on how this year goes for Gaudette but at this point, you have to think that a 20-goal season is possible.

Being scored on by a 4th liner in a turtle neck really hurts the true die hard opposition fans, there’s just something insulting about a guy in a skinny turtle neck scoring on you in an NHL game, so for this I am very thankful Gaud being the turtleneck element to add to the Greig, Tkachuk, Perron, Cousins factor our team brings every night,

Green gets Gaudette and makes Macewen a player.
DJ gets Josh Brown and calls Zaitsev elite.

I feel after scoring 40+ goals in the A last year , Guadette had options. Green definitely played a factor. Still was kinda shocked when they initially waived him at the start of the year I thought he had a strong camp
