Pettersson played like that pre injury. I think his wrist is still injured or just healed and he doesn't trust it yet.
 
Can't see how Lekkerimaki isn't in the parent Canuck lineup by Christmas. If nothing else, he'd be just what the doctor ordered on the moribund Vancouver PP.

He'll shoot from anywhere.....and nightmare for goalies who have to move across the crease and try to stop the puck at the same time. How does a kid listed at 5'11' and a buck 85 learn to shoot a puck like that?.......years and years of practice, I guess.

Lekkerimaki is very talented but still very raw. I'd be afraid of rushing him to the NHL where he might not be ready for to play the tough minutes necessary for a player like him. Let him develop in the AHL and when there is a few injuries call him up when he is playing well to give him a NHL paycheck and play a few games.

You don't call him up to play in the bottom 6. I could see him playing a few if Sprong is injured.

This collapse is a microcosm of this team's struggles this season. They win a game and then lose a game, they win a period or even 50 minutes of a game but then collapse. They're a young team with a fresh head coach, so perhaps this should be expected but you'd like to see better.

Should've been coincidental minors. Interference on Ahac, roughing on Sidorov but the ref somehow missed Sidorov intentionally faceplanting Ahac.

Defence missing Friedman and Kudryavtsev. Woo had a rough go tonight after a decent game last night, playing a notch above his true level in Friedman's absence. And, Wolanin is just not the player that he was two years ago. The defencemen have been quite good so far this season but this crew was cracking somewhat in the second half of the game.

Raty had a solid weekend but that skating... I don't know, we'll find out whether or not he can continue to really improve it or overcome it with the rest of his game. Lekkerimaki just needs some time to mature physically; he's a smart, skilled player.
