Watching the game with no sound isn’t much better if at all. Auditory and visual stimulation go hand in hand, like how feeding on crowd noise is a big part of why watching in person is so great (similar to the science behind why laugh tracks trick us into laughing at unfunny non-jokes)
Could say the best commentators in a sense channel or translate some of that energy through the TV when you’re watching at home by yourself
Not to mention the puck and other sounds. Watching the game without sound feels awkward
Would be nice if there were alternate streams more readily available, but it seems she’s gonna keep being the only option for some of us trying to watch a number of west coast matchups.
