I cant believe there are people who actually defend her and say she's good. I see it on twitter and reddit. This has nothing to do with her being a woman. It's all to do with that she f***ing sucks at this job. The espn broadcasts in general haven't been great, but this is on an entirely different level. It's a joke.

She was so bad last night.

I finished the Caps-VGK OT game last night and the minute they switched to the Anaheim-SJS game and I heard her voice I shut the TV off. I recorded the game and watched it without sound this morning. It isn't a sexist thing, I can't stand the homer Jack Edwards calling a game either and will mute.

If the NHL wants to put her out there, as awful as she is, there are some of us [more than just "twitter warriors"] who think that, far from adding value to the viewing experience, she actually detracts fromt he viewing experience.

For those of you who don't mind, good for you. enjoy her broadcast. Personally, I'll keep muting it whenever I hear her.

I thought she was demoted to being between the penalty boxes, where at least the damage to the broadcast will be minimized? Can't believe that people in charge haven't owned up to the hiring mistake yet. Just a bad, bad look(listen?) that she is on the air at all at the major league level. some of the teams around the NHL have the most boring monotone voices that put people to sleep for commentators.

I get your point and you are right. In fact there's some local teams that have worse. Just because someone somewhere is worse doesn't mean we can't complain about her.

FTR I haven't heard her at ice level and am more than willing to give her a chance. Personally don't like her voice.

All that being said if the big networks want a national female for there broadcast I would love to see Hillary Knight take a stab at it. I've seen her in studio for a few things and she was very good.
