Maybe that has merit, but maybe he’s shown enough people in the org that he can’t. If it was one hard ass or old school coach not letting him “work through it” I’d be more inclined to agree. When three coaches, at the NHL level, whether we liked them or not, all are demoting the kid rather than letting him “work through it” I start to question whether it’s the kid. Is he being explicitly told to do things he isn’t doing? Why doesn’t any coach feel the way we do about giving him a longer leash, even during preseason? Because we’re all better coaches?
