No one said anyone can step in and do it. We both said everyone who is IN the NHL and gets Laf’s existing usage is putting up similar numbers. There is nothing special about him aside from his draft position.

I hear his French is pretty good for his age.

I would put Kreider at 1RW and Laf at 2LW. Kreider is the consummate pro and will make it work. And Laf needs all the developmental support he can get right now. He’s starting to hear it from the fans and the media.

I would put Kreider at 1LW and Panarin at 2LW and Lafreniere can bend over backwards and kiss his own ass.

I get it’s preseason so don’t put much Stock in this as an overall team effort, but Laf is one of the guys who needs to prove he belongs In the Top 6. Panarin and Mika obviously are on like 20% power. But still, the kids including Laf need to prove themselves. Laf is out there being relaxed because he knows he is locked into a roster spot. But he should be playing for position.

After this preseason, if it continues do not want to read that Laf should be over Kreider in the Top 6.
