When he starts converting those chances, he may just be as good as most have predicted he would be. Looks great out there.

The main difference is the age of those guys. They will be a force for years.

Canada has had a good succession plan in place. Weber anchored the top pairing right side for years, Doughty has stepped up to take his place, Weber slides down to 2nd pairing, and they now have Ekblad and Parayko coming up on the right side. Subban and Letang are good at hockey too.

Keith should be good for a bit. Brodie is an option going forward Have Rielly as well and Muzzin. Some may not be Karlsson or Hedman calibre but should be able to stay competitive.

The world is catching up though, no doubt.

You think that Barkov's been good? Can't really agree with that...

No ones been good.. he's the only one that has made a play in the defensive zone and can actually move the puck to an open teammate tho.. noone e else even knows where to go.. laine can't even dump the puck in proper and turns it over at the blue line.. he can't make a play on the wall on his off wing with this kind of pressure.. all barkov can do is get it there noone else can do anything with it

Yeah he is.

I think the difference is McDavid handles the puck better at top speeds. But Mack is definitely fun to watch as well.

Matthews currently has the assist on the game winning goal and has had numerous good plays. Don't act like all of a sudden Aho and Barkov aren't good players. Some Finnish fans were outrageous enough to call Aho > Matthews.

They aren't bad players, and that claim would be stupid.
Just look at the D-group McDavid embarrassed, both D-players are from AHL and were on the ice with Barkov line.

Every D-pairing NA has would be Finns top pairing, they can't move the puck to save their life today.
