How many thought Team Europe and Team North America (potentially) would be the teams getting the shutouts though?

Again, no one is saying Laine should be dominating, but I don't think not being invisable is too much to ask from a guy that's been so hyped.

Laine has played like, what, less than four small ice games in his entire life, and his first experience is against not only NHL players but the very best NHL players around. He'll come around..

You've been one of the best Finn fans here and I respect you a lot, so none of this is aimed at you.

However, there are a big chunk that were insufferable for MONTHS about Laine outscoring Matthews in the WJC & WHC. That was their biggest and best argument for Laine > Matthews so I'm sorry, but something has to be said now when the roles are reversed.

All of that said, I watched most of the WHC and thought Matthews was better there despite scoring less so none of what's happening now is a surprise. And if Matthews was on Finland right now, I think he would be performing better than Laine because again, I think he is simply a better player offensively and defensively.

Big chunk? Mostly the same posters. Most Finnish fans on here didn't even bother to post in those threads.

Laine can't be expected to do much here. He's 18 years old and team NA is loaded with talent.

If Keith is playing then it's probably on par.

mostly agreeing with you.. But i dont think team USA werent dominated this badly in either one.. So you really cant compare these..
