Put a modicum of pressure on this team, and they completely crumple. Consistently being unable to get out of your own zone because there's 2/3 opponents there is a joke

The Sabres gave them a lot of time and space for whatever reason. The Bruins and any other competent puck pressure team will take it to this team whose composure is extremely fragile. The guys this year for whatever reason are not good on one-on-one battles and when they are facing the Bruins' kind of pressure when they are immediately on top of them, it's gonna go bad.

Hartford is 8-0-1 this season.

How was Kreider a bad decision? They haven’t even discussed a contract with him yet he’s going to be traded.

Panarin has been bar none this team’s best player in almost every game.

Let’s relax. This team has a ton of future talent and it will likely be in a position to obtain more of it this trade deadline and offseason. The lack of patience on this board is nuts

Because we are either going to keep Kreider, which would be horrendous, or we're going to have another drama filled deadline where he brings back less then he would have last deadline.

By the time we're ready to compete, Panarin will be on the back-end of his contract, on the wrong side of 30, and very likely declining.

I'm completely relaxed. This team blows, exactly as I assumed they would.

Reactions: hi
if Kreider is struggling and Kakko is struggling how is putting them both on the top line the solution? Seems like an idiotic decision to try to stir things up by putting two ice cold players on the first line. Just a thought.

Except Smith can't skate stick handle or shoot on a level anywhere near Kakko so it's a waste of time having Kakko try to develop with a guy who's got stones for hands.

Kakko hasn't meshed with anyone, so it's a wash.

They didn’t have a market for him, or he would have already been traded.

He may get less at the deadline but he will still yield assets. He’s not being kept, there’s been no indication whatsoever from the organization that he will be.

Lol what do you even say after watching this.

I think we knew this team still had a ways to go and could easily be a top lottery team again. It's one thing to lose though and it's another thing for this to happen. Multiple games where they're getting blown out of the building. There's just so much bad on the team and it's being exposed even more now that Panarin and Zibanejad aren't covering for it.

I don't know what to make of Skjei. Ever since his 2nd half in 16-17, he's plateaued as a player and possibly even regressed. That contract just looks so bad at this point.

The only reason I have even a tiny amount of faith is that Kreider's performance is just so pitiful this season, that he is playing himself off the team.

I still think this team just does idiotic things. And very possibly will do so again.

Also, Panarin is an absolute star - that doesn't and didn't make signing him the right call. He's going to very likely be a geezer, or possibly dead, before we are competing again.

When you run next to each other and the other fellow steps on your heel or calf. Damn that’s painful. Soccer is deceptively physical.

Thats what I thought, you have no idea. Hockey and soccer are equally physical, hockey is much more comfortable with all the padding and stuff, I've played both.
