Ya, there's no chance Crosby would have kept up that pace during those shortened seasons. He has never come close to that pace in any of the years he played close to a full season. To believe he would have is wishful thinking.
Fact is, including Crosby in this unofficial record of consecutive PPG seasons is a stretch. 22 game "season" qualifies him?,...ya, okay.
Yeah, I mean, it's not like he was entering his peak/prime years or anything. As we all know, players usually plateau throughout the entirety of their careers and don't see an uptick in their production as they close in on their mid-20s... :eyeroll:

Dropping the sarcasm for a moment, your post is laughable. You're literally trying to argue that Crosby wouldn't have sustained his peak during those years because his CAREER PPG is 1.27. His career PPG. Meanwhile, it's really not that difficult to do a little basic math and realize that he scored at 1.52 PPG as a 19 year old. Claiming that he couldn't maintain a slightly higher PPG at his peak, because his average career PPG is lower, is absurd.

Factoring in scoring differences between eras, without even mentioning the 180+ games he missed in his prime, Crosby is easily third on that list if not right up there with Lemieux.
The great part is that Lemieux only played 915 games
