84th Overall - Kirill Kirsanov

Game 7 is tomorrow at 9 AMPacific time. They're playing the No 2 seed. Every game has been decided by one goal.

Home team has won every game, and Torpedo-Gorky is playing it on the road.

Winner plays the No 5 seed for the VHL championship.
Have you watched any of his games? Does he have any offensive upside? Is he physical at all?

Someone 3 years after the draft failing to play in domestic top-level league but playing for a farm team is promising development? OK...
He played 34 games for his KHL team this season and got sent down to the VHL for the playoffs after his KHL team got eliminated.

He's 22 and has a 120 KHL games played, 72 VHL games. Seems like he is more of a KHL guy than minor VHL.

Personally would like to see Kiranov become a regular in the KHL than being in Ontario...another season or 2 would do it...unless the Kings have him ticketed for the Big Show

I'm on the other end Andys.
He's in N.A. getting used to the smaller ice, language, culture , and he can finally have a proper taco

So, for a prospect they drafted three years ago, what's a news point or discussion point that will be considered good news? That they let him go for nothing? He started a four-string quartet?

They don't expect the kid to make LA cup contenders. It's the next step in his journey to try and make it in the NHL.

I didn't realize that would be so upsetting.

One thing I notice is that the Russians sent down First rounder from Devils Silayev,Montreal 4th round draft choice Konyushkov and LA 3rd rounder Kirsanov to play in the Playoffs and they all play Defense...

Also he wouldn’t be the first player to be buried because he didn’t extend his contract so he could go to North America.

Really looking forward to seeing him play, Yannetti was very high on him at draft and mentioned he could be in the Ahl next. He had a contract and then resigned for 2 years. I cant blame him for waiting to come over and make sure he's physically ready. It cant be easy for a player who doesn't speak the language and go to a totally different culture on top of that. I give players and people in general who can do that.
I think sometimes people forget get that and think it's as easy as hoping on a plane and the team will find you place and have someone help you. I think there's a bit more to consider.

The VHL streams ganes on Youtube. You can watch it here:

Kirsanov looked decent. He's big, mobile, has a great outlet pass, and looked very poised in his positioning. I'm glad he might be making his way over because that overall style of game played was beer league style. It looked like there was no systems at all. He definitely will need AHL time if he wants to make the NHL because those leagues aren't teaching him (or anyone) anything.
