There's gotta be some randomness here cause I don't think this team is much better if at all than my other ones...but hey at least I finally got a perfect season.

Best all American team I could do. I've done so many iterations. It's hard because early hockey is just so many freaking Canadians. I don't think it's "our sport" but I do think we helped build it quite a bit.

Maybe there's around 300-400 names in total?

There's been almost 9k people all-time playing in the NHL (8,798), 7,897 skaters and 901 goalies. This game probably offers only 5% of that 8.7k total. Just a guess.

I realise the goal of the game is to achieve the highest number of wins and there's enough HoF'ers in there to get the job done, but there's such a tiny part available of the all-time rosters. Left me wanting more.
Edit:
Saying all that I do realise its a free game and that I might be nit-picking.

Carried by 3 players on the 50's Montreal and the Bobby's (Orr and Hull) with Lundquist in net.

I used to do the opposite of this in the NHL game. I inserted a national team like Japan or whatever in place of one of the NHL teams and tried to get a 0-82 record. But then I'd get the game where Mike Smith would have a .500 Sv% and I'd squeeze out an overtime loss to ruin it.
