I’ve been watching Ranger hockey for a very long time and this season has been the hardest to watch bar none.
The late 70s designer jean ads were unsettling. But at least they went to the SCF that season

We have terrible coaching, in addition to our other problems . They always make the dumbest decisionsI'm not disappointed with the effort as I thought we took it to them most of the game and it was one of our better games in a while. My biggest issue was putting Kreider on that pp instead of a shooter. 4 on 3 Trochek could handle net front as they need him for the faceoff, they needed another shooting threat on the ice, it was mind boggling, game should have been over then
Lindgren is just a terrible player at this point and only the idiot ass Rongos are dumb enough to keep him on the top pair and drag down their only good defensemanLindgren, even while playing most of his minutes with Fox is last on the team in xGA/60 (for reference, Fox is 2nd.)
Thats a feat for a supposed "defensive" defenseman.
Schneider/Vaak just doesn't drive any offense (or hasn't to this point.) Their defensive numbers are fine and for a bottom pair that's what I'd rather have anyway.
I'd like to see what Schneider-Fox looks like but that isn't happening until #55 is gone and probably won't even after that.
Mind boggling. 4 on 3 gives them all the time and space they need to setup for Mikas one-timer and instead they put Kreider out there and play keep away for 2 minutes.Panarin and Kreider were the worst players on the ice tonight. I couldnt believe my eyes when Kreider was on the ice for the powerplay in OT. Laviolette mustve been watching the WWE recently.
If Laf doesn't shoot an open one timer 10 feet wide with a few mins to go, or Lindgren clears the puck in the moments before the tying goal, we win that game. Or you know, scoring on a PP in OT or a breakaway by your #1 center in OT.
Igor the least of the issues tonight
IDK, Laf was extremely bad last night.Panarin and Kreider were the worst players on the ice tonight. I couldnt believe my eyes when Kreider was on the ice for the powerplay in OT. Laviolette mustve been watching the WWE recently.
Nothing will change as long as mika and kreider are on this roster.Panarin and Kreider were the worst players on the ice tonight. I couldnt believe my eyes when Kreider was on the ice for the powerplay in OT. Laviolette mustve been watching the WWE recently.

Laf was the only one creating any offense.
He didn’t make anything of his chances, but he had them.
Panarin was throwing the puck away pretty much any chance he had.
This team is in a tough spot where we're all sick of the top talent and the top talent isn't really getting it done, but they would also need to replace that talent.
If Alexis Lafreniere is your best forward, you're not a playoff team.
It doesn't look good.
Ok, so then they're probably a lottery team without him. They aren't a playoff team with Panarin as our best player either so glad we got that sorted
Yes.We are back to blaming Igor for losses when our top 9 haven't scored an ES goal in almost 12 periods?????
Yes you read that correctly, it's been 11 periods and 15 minutes since someone in the top 3 lines scored an ES goal.

Idk take out Panarin and do we have a better forward group than the Ducks? At least Ryan Strome is not the 1C . See, things could be worse. I think.
They were a minute away from winning and the defense shut them down. When the defense sucks it's the defense, when the offense sucks it's the offense. It's f***ing never Igor. Because if we ever blame Igor we might have to admit this is not the worst team in the history of hockey.

I don't see any easy way to replace players that they're going to need to replace. They're probably better off letting it burn for a couple of years.
Yes.
He lost every last but of grace when he made it a point that he had to be the highest paid goalie of all-time by some distance.
Clearly they didn't, Lindgren not in proper position on the tying goal to tie up his man or clear the rebound doesn't help.
If the PP on a 4-3 could do anything we wouldn't even have the game winning shot taken.
But oh well, onto the next. The 4th line is really going to need to pick up their play and score more if we want to win games.

I agree with you. I'm not that interested in development until the culture changes.Im not letting shit burn for any amount of time unless Panarin and Kreider are gone this summer. You can trace every leadership, development, on-ice role(etc) question the last 5 years back to those 2. We haven't won, and it's all over but the crying for these guys.
I want the team to play well and I want to make a run at the playoffs, but games like these are the most demoralizing because it's our veterans fault that we are in this hole in the first place. Them being 0 for 10 on chances to get an insurance goal has been a theme forever.
