Agreed. He seems to mostly play good, but that gets negated with a couple against you from the corner.

Jets win in spite of bad goaltending by Comrie, Villardi has to get going, or we need to move him down in the lineup. Jets off to a great start this year. Playoffs should be easy, with this start.

Jets overcame some inconsistent goaltending. PK was clutch. Connor playing some really good hockey. Vilardi needs to step up on that line. Maybe a Perfetti/Vilardi swap could be on the menu to get him going, he has good chemistry with Ehlers.

That might work. But it is hard for a coach to change things up when you are on a streak like the Jets are.

I haven't checked the stats to prove this, but I think we have a tendency to lose to the Leafs in Wpg games on HNIC. I suspect the streak ends there, but hope I'm wrong.

Agreed. All of a sudden the special teams balanced has shifted for us. That has played a pretty big part of us going 8-0.

I suspect something like this will eventually happen, as Villardi is not holding his own on that line. Personally I think he's overrated for what he brings to the table. You could plug in a couple other guys, maybe even Lambert, or Chibrikov, and they would do better than Villardi.

3/5 Skeletons tonight, Comrie some good some bad .900 SV%, Pionk continues with his good play 2 points each for members of the 3rd line, are they the best 3rd line in the NHL? I would say yes. KFC buzzing, PK and PP great. Folks what the Jets are doing early in the season can only help as the season rolls on having banked 16 points. Looking forward Leaf fans have nothing to crow about early in the season.
