Kakko just doesn't seem like he can keep up with the speed of the NHL right now. He seems tenative and lacking in confidence. Go down to Hartford and work things out like Chytil seemingly has.

It's time as him floundering like this isn't helping his development.

Would LOVE it if some of our other players showed anger every time we were scored on. Hank shouldn't be the only one.

I really hate the fact that now every single goal Lundqvist gives up is micro-analyzed and followed with the choruses of people saying he sucks. Sometimes the goalie gives up a bad goal.

Calling Hank a liability and not an NHL goalie are the types of hyperbole that make you look ridiculous because it’s so obviously not true. Christ. What we have is a formerly amazing basically mistake free goalie for 10 years who is now not as good as he once was but still above average. Acting like every goal he gives up is more fuel to the fire of him being a liability is absurd. Georgiev is good and gave up one of the worst goals I’ve ever seen against the Devils. Did we see choruses if people saying he’s not an NHL goalie? We’re people calling the screened goal he gave up the other night vs Arizona a bad goal? Nope.

It’s just exhausting that it seems like a segment of the fan base, which was spoiled for a decade with a top 3 goalie every season, is now tired of Hank bc he’s just an above average but not perfect goalie anymore. Sorry guys, he might not be Vezina Hank anymore but we got way more of that Hank than most teams ever get out of a starter. He’s still good. Every time a goal gets scored doesn’t need to be the same echoing from the ridiculous hyperbole battle of people calling him so horrible and he should retired and blah blah blah which is so stupid and flat out wrong vs people defending him and pushing back too far the other way like I’m doing now. It’s just exhausting.

This teams defense sucks. Our goalies are both above average but not elite. They’re not going to be perfect but they’re better than the average goalie in this league. Goaltending is not a problem for this team even in the slightest.

Hank has been OK. Not the Hank of 5 years ago. The demise started then. But the 2nd goal was deflected. Not an easy save. First goal was kinda soft. Rebound control getting worse. Next year will likely be his last. Some posters here have an agenda. And have had so for years. I use the Block function for a while when it gets too obnoxious and obvious.

1) Hank is giving up rebounds like crazy
2) I haven’t said anything about Hank being good or bad this season. I was waiting for a larger sample size. You assume that I analyze him after every goal. That’s not true. The fact of the matter is that he’s an average goalie at this point in his career. Sure he makes the brilliant saves sometimes, but he also gives up softies.
3) It hasn’t been one full game yet. It’s been 2 periods. Even if he doesn’t allow any more goals, aren’t you saying you shouldn’t analyze a goalie based off a small sample size?
