[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I’ve waited a long time for this, I’ve been working toward this, I’m ready to go.
It’s every kid’s dream growing up playing hockey, the chance to play in the NHL. It’s extremely exciting for me.
- Cam Talbot

Kreider was pretty uptight in the preseason, understandably. He wanted to make the team more than anybody, I worked out with him all of August up in CT, that’s all he thought about, talked about.
I haven’t seen too many guys work that hard away from the rink to get himself ready. He might have pressed a little bit, but he really wants it.
Sometimes that can get in your way, get your head in the way and maybe things don’t look as smooth out there as they should.
He’ll get good minutes, hopefully he can put that in his mind before the game starts that he’s going to get this chance and just play. Maybe that’ll help him.
- Brad Richards

I do know that my teams compete, my teams play hard, and they’re hard to play. We haven’t been that way, and it’s my responsibility to get us there.
It’s not very hard to understand what I want. It’s a matter of them putting the right compete level on the ice. If you do that, usually you’re in pretty good shape.
- Alain Vigneault

Pretty sure mike smith has more goals than half the flyers roster inclduing giroux...

Hopefully they can ugh, I don't know. Beat a team thats worse than them?

Thought Missiaen would've been starting... was it clear to you Rangers fans that Talbot would be the guy?

Anyway, Lundqvist going down obviously is a big hit for the Rangers, regardless of the replacement. Luckily you are facing the teethless Flyers...

Hasn't Missiaen been pretty awful even in the AHL? Our goaltending depth is putrid right now.

really like that quote from Richie, there. hopefully Kreider really benefits from being on a line with him and Step.

more effort, boys!! lets go Cam! LGR! :yo:

Good god the Rangers projected lines look like the days of Josef Balej playing top 6 minutes. I can't imagine how the Rangers win anything with the list of injuries we now have.

Is it possible that we literally don't score any goals tonight trough the entire game, tie, go to a shoot out and don't score for 10 rounds in the shoot out only to have former ranger Adam Hall beat us in round 11 of the shoot out? :)

In all seriousness congratulations to Cam Talbot for earning start number 1 in the NHL. Great accomplishment. Hope the team shows up and does not leave him to get embarrassed out there.

Flyers are having trouble scoring goals. Talbot in net. Flyers will score probably a million goals tonight.

Let's see if the boys can finally get up and going for a rivalry game.

Two big back-to-back wins here would make this road trip not a total disaster. Would love at least three points, also.

LGR.

Missiaen is just the delegated benchwarmer when Talbot gets his starts in the AHL. They wouldn't play him except in emergencies.

Allaire must have given Talbot his final vote of confidence for NHL readiness. But there may be a learning curve like I say, stopping Stamkos and Crosby is different than stopping Newbury and Taffe.

Talbot has impressed me when I've seen Hartford play. Excited to see what he can do at the NHL level.

Blargh, Lundqvist and Callahan are the reason the Rangers have made this team their ***** in recent times. This could have been a good bounce back and confidence game, and it still will be...

for Philadelphia.

Bold prediction;

Some one get's theire first goal of the season tonight..

Kreider looks lost out there..

Girardi is out of place..

CAM has a good game but can't be blamed..

Richards is our best player again..

Stralman is barely noticiable..

Dorsett fights Simmonds and looses...

God would it be nice to have Cally the Flyer killer here for this game. Good luck on Cam's first game. Lets go Rangers.

Who's Michael Raffl? Guarantee he scores tonight.

Don't disrespect Austria ;). Decent player, Philly brought him over from SEL this summer, did well in the preseason with Lecavalier and Simmonds.

Anyway, let's go Rangers. This is gonna be one stinker of a game if both teams play up to their potential of suck.

He has looked good in their games so far. good speed, kind of lanky, has some skill. He's a good find for them.

I think people will be impressed tonight by him.
