Dammit, you sure you didnt edit that one too? ;) Was hoping you wouldnt notice the update so I could take him

The funny thing is I was actually seconds away from making a different pick and then caught the update by chance

I thought about picking him last time around to take the risk since my defense is not going to be very good at this point. Oh well

I have DiPietro in another pool, so what better strategy than to take Scott here so that I don't get pissed off when Canada chooses their goalie for each game. Or maybe this makes be pissed off regardless of who Canada picks for their goalie each game, who knows.

Ian Scott, G, CAN

I was dangerously close to doing this same strategy as I've already got DiPietro in this pool. However I'm not sure if I could live with the thought that I might have been right with my first pick and then just thrown away the second.

Realistically though, with all the guesswork on who's starting for some other teams with the possibility that their starters have already been selected, even if Scott only gets 2 games during the round robin the possible 4 points is probably a decent score out of a pick this late when the other possibilities are a risk to take maybe you'll get a starter or maybe you'll get a 3rd stringer and nothing. I'd be fine with 4 points from a 6th round pick, and 10 from my 3rd round pick in my other pool, that's obviously making the assumption that Canada wins all their games which probably won't happen but could.

It’s quite the conundrum. I can’t recall any year when there was even close to this amount of goaltending uncertainty.

Thanks I checked and didn’t see them. Maybe got the start time wrong? I heard it was eight?
I would be very surprised if there is anything at all for the Russia-Sweden pre-tournament game. Basically just don't expect anything other then Canadian games until the tournament starts. Maybe the odd one will pop up but it's rare.
