Pool: 7th Annual C4G WJC Pool: Updates Ongoing

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. We all know that on the basis of hockey politics, it’s DiPietro’s spot to lose, and he certainly hasn’t done that to this point. Yes, it’s an early gamble, but not picking a good goalie early was what killed me in many recent WJC pools.

I know he asked the question, but we try not to mention players not yet drafted in pool threads, just so people have to make their own decisions or find help in other threads and not use things suggested within the thread. If you could delete said players name that would be great, thanks. I guess the same should probably go for this post too

Whoops, sorry. Edited out. I know this is a rule and was going to make sure to apply it in my pool too. Just momentarily forgot when trying to add some discussion to a bit of a surprise early pick. My bad :laugh::ha:

Yeah it sort of threw me for a loop because I wasn't expecting a goalie this early. The goalies are a massive question mark this year so I wasn't sure how I thought it would play out.

I was considering him or Suzuki last time, and with only 4 picks between was hopeful he would fall to 23. Production wise he’s had a rough year in the AHL so maybe that scared some people off? We’ll see. I’m not in love with this Russia team so I’m half expecting them to lose in the quarters, only getting 5 games would hurt.
