Yesterday at the Rangers practice in Vancouver, Carl Hagelin was skating on a line with Derek Stepan and Rick Nash. (Steve Zipay)

Alain Vigneault said that he was about 80% sure that that trio would start the game together against the Canucks and that putting Hagelin with Stepan and Nash allows them to replicate the speed they lost with Chris Kreider’s injury. (NY Post)

With Hagelin moving up, Dominic Moore took some rushes with Brad Richards and Marty St. Louis as did Derek Dorsett. (NY Post)

Moore, who was a teammate of St. Louis’ in Tampa Bay, said that he knows how St. Louis wants to play and that because of their past as teammates he may be able to help St. Louis break out a bit. (Daily News)

Looks like we'll wind up getting something like...

Hagelin - Stepan - Nash
Moore - Richards - MSL
Pouliot - Brass - Zucc
Carcillo - Boyle - Dorsett

The Moore with Richards line is intriguing but I'd rather just slot Miller into that spot and leave the 4th line alone since it's been our best line.

I predict that St Louis will score 0 goals tonight. Someone else will score 1 each, and it wont be a frequent goalscorer

I maintain that MSL will earn the Bway hat b4 this trip ends. Hope it's tonight.

Letttt's goooooo

I remember in the old days, 10:30 west coast starts. Brutal

Tort to his guys: Ok boys run em early and run em often. He then takes sewer sp? and kassian aside and ensures they give this game the proper "focus".

Torts wont be shown up twice, especially given the circumstances. The league allows it as evidenced in the Philly fiasco so get the ambulance ready because torts has to manifest his ego through his players tonight.

Really hope someone in the media asks Torts to respond to Brooksies article that was published today :naughty:

Wow you weren't kidding. Brooksie laying it on thick.

This has been a season of fresh air for the Rangers. There has been an absence of drama. Tortorella believes conflict is good. If he said it once, he said it 100 times. But conflict ultimately beat down the Blueshirts, one by one.

It seems as if the same song is playing across the continent almost 2,500 miles away. Except where it took five years in New York, it took five months in Vancouver.

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Smart guys learn. Idiots don’t.

Cool video from the first meeting. Cally and Kreider will be missed.

Btw, I didn't know AV can yell. Always so quiet on the bench, maybe not. He sounds like a foghorn, good lord...

so it's okay when he shouts "shoot" and "pass" but now me? OKAY.:sarcasm:

Brooks has zero tact. He and The Post are perfect for each other.

Agreed for the most part, but that quote is kind of out of context without reading the article. Torts himself said that he looks like an idiot this year and AV looks like a smart guy. The quote in RangerBlue's post doesn't look as bad in that context.
