Pretty sure AHL games don't matter. If the player is 19 or younger at Januray 1st in the first season of his contract and plays less than 10 NHL games, the contract slides.

Fast is 22 so his ELC year is burned already.

Edit: I see you already looked it up :)

Ok, my bad. Though it was 10 games.

In terms of who he is skating with, St. Louis said that he has to be able to “play in the future” and be able to understand tendencies of his linemates and predict where they and the puck will be.(Ranger Rants)

Than stop changing his line-mates up AV

Did that give us a Stanley?

No but it was the best they've done since they won. That was a great season. And for many of us who can barely remember 94' that was something exciting to be a part of.

Sorry, but there's no "clearly." Debatable, fine, clearly, absolutely not. Again, without Kreider in for Hags, we are out in the 1st round against OTT. Those were the most exciting games I ever attended. That game 7 win against Washington was just unreal being at the garden. I can't imagine an actual cup win.

Did that give us a Stanley?

Will Kreider's contract not sliding one year prevent us from winning one? Kreider helped us winning two playoff rounds, how can there be any serious debate whether that was worth using one year of his ELC?

Rangers still control their own destiny, so if they lose..go **** yourselves, RONGOS!

I've never trusted a team less. They can win, they can lose. The Rangers just manage to lose whenever you think they can't. I'll be mildly surprised if we even win today. For a team that has consistently played puck possession hockey all season, they're as inconsistent as they come. #CORSI #FENWICK

Dude, not that last game didn't get me down, but we're coming off a 5 game win streak, against some VERY good teams, desperate for wins AND half our team had the flu.

I've been disappointed in this team throughout the year, but if you had told me prior to that six game stretch that we would win 5 out of 6, I'd take it any way you slice it, especially if that loss was coming against a WCF team in Calgary.

You really need to chill out and put things in perspective. Teams lose all the time, sometimes good teams to bad teams. San Jose got beat worse then us by CGY, **** happens.

You're awesome in your passion, but in this instance, you really need to chill.

It's just that the Rangers shouldn't be losing games like this at the point in the season. That's what grinds my gears. Our vaunted D looked like **** and our franchise goalie couldn't stop a beach ball. They're just been so inconsistent this year with wins that I'm not counting on us winning tonight. It's a typical game against a bottom feeder where the team will likely come out loose, like against Calgary.

The inconsistency of our defense is a concern of mine. They look like one of the best in the league for a week, then look like the Leafs. Back and forth all season it seems like.

I don't get it. Even McDonagh-Girardi were off last game. The Flames were getting to prime scoring areas with ease. I've mentioned this before but I wonder if that pairing doesn't bring it as hard when there is no dominant player to stop like Girioux. Or are they still transitioning to AV's style 80 games in? They're 2 of the best D-men at playing defense in the league, so I don't know what that was last game. It was very reminiscent of the Ottawa game, minus the historically bad game from the opposing goalie. Like sometimes the team thinks they're the 80s Oilers and get suckered into playing firewagon hockey by the other team that's usually inferior.

On paper, the Rangers should never look like that. The Leafs have the excuse that pretty much every one of their defensemen is asked to play above their heads arguably even Phaneuf.
